I highly doubt there will be a nitro version. Nitro's don't have the low end grunt required for crawling.

putting lockers in your revo will not make it a rock crawler.

articulation mainly, as well as super low centre of gravity. a revo could crawl, but not as well as a crawler chassis, the balance is too high, and travel not enough.

You obviously haven't witnessed the kind of articulation the revo chassis is capable of, especially with the 120mm pushrods. And the configuration of the battery compartments gives it a pretty low COG. I'm not saying it's going to be better than a Super Class crawler, but it's capable enough to crawl quite well once the diffs are locked.

I've had 4 Savages and it took me a while before I decided the truck wasn't for me,difficult to work on,old design and plain boring,not to mention the overinflated prices.They are strong but that dont make a model.I have a modded Revo 3.3 with RB 523 with full RPM arms,knuckles and bumpers,added a STRC 3 shoe clutch and its simply streets ahead of the Savage as a basher and a racer.I do have a HPI Baja SS to and thats their swan song without a doubt....

actually no joke tower drop there price to like about $515 and i have a question um does it need 2 batery like the e revo and e maxx or is it single battery and does it have a lipo cutoff

its a 750 motor, and i believe you have to use 2 8.4 v batteries. I could be wrong about the batt though

The Summit will Need TWO Batteries. It has compartments for Two Batteries and the ESC is for TWO also. The 775 Titan sucks almost as much power as as Two 550's in a E-Maxx

ONE Titan 775 Motor Puts out a little more than Two Titan 550's. The 775 is much bigger in size than the 550. Even though the Summit only has One 775, it still has TWO batteries powering it. So just imagine Two 7-Cell 5000mah batteries running that One Motor! That is Crazy! I already have an order in for the Summit. Paid in Full.

Depends on how you look at it. Theres not any nitro trail trucks or rock crawlers for a reason. The engine will stall and cut off trying to do the slower crawling.

Is it tough probably not, but is it badass definately. Please don't freak out because I said its gonna break its just my opinion that traxxas stuff is fragile.

Traxxas stuff i no more fragile than any other RCs made. I've own and have owned many brands. They all break just as much as the next. I have never owned any rc that could take my 4 year olds trashing for long before a snap.

Thats not going to be the price. Tower price is going to be high untill the release of the new cars and trucks. They had the E-revo priced around the same when it first came out and then the price droped to $445.00 when they had them ready to ship. It will be more like $500.00
