The only correct way of dealing with a law enforcement officer is to ask if you're being arrested, and if you can leave, now. Do not agree to searches and DO NOT make conversation with them. They are NOT there to help you. They are there to put you through the system and get you in much trouble as they can. Be polite, but serious. They're just doing their job, and they have the right to use force against you. Do not resist arrest. It's better to be booked in the jail than the hospital...
