My buddy is the most amazing lover of Rogue! He has many saved bottles from almost every brew! Him and I stand up for Rogue as one of the BEST craft breweries anywhere! I AM A ROGUE!!!!!!!!!
i want to open my own brew pub. iam a business major and my hobie is beer "find a job doing what you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life"
PS...I have also had the Juniper Pale Ale. Which i thought was pretty good for a pale ale. But not that much flavor, kinda bland. Compared to the sweetness of the Dead Guy and the nuttiness of the Nectar. And all the other flavors that explode within your taste buds.
Thanks Rogue. Now i can't drink anything else. Can't go back to the usual. I have only had the Dead Guy and the Brown Hazelnut Nectar, and they are by far the best beers i have had. Props to you guys. However, they are so good, i think i am addicted. I can't get addicted to any other beer, so, i guess that's saying something.. Oregon FTW!!! ....This Fosters i have SUCKS! I have been trying out beers i haven't tried. I just wish i went and bought a Dead Guy. (The only Rogue i can buy in my town)
As an Aspiring brewer, seeing John Maier doing all this hard work after 18 years inspires me more than any brewing book could. My first Rogue was a Mocha Porter and its still one of my favorites, if not my favorite porter.
You'll find great brew at our SF location too if you venture into the Bay Area. Hope you'll swing by next time you come up. We always have something special on tap here. Cheers!
I special ordered 2 kegs from Rogue and they've just arrived at my distributor. I've had both on tap before, but their return to my home pub will be an exciting event.
Normally my distributor only stocks 2 Rogue products in the keg (Dead Guy & Mocha Porter), but I had to have a Shakespeare Stout and a Hazelnut Nectar. It was a challenge, but after speaking with Jim Cline, the VP/GM of Rogue, he was able to convince my distributor to tack on the extra kegs for me. Thanks-A-Million Jim!
Chocolate stout and Hazelnut nectar mixed is the best thing ever! No joke. That is how they served it at the brewry. I've got some pacman on the way. Can't wait to see how my beers match up to the real thing!
Just got back from newport and i gotta say the beers were delicious. Picked up the Hazlenut brown, Santas P.R., younsman special bitter, and the eugene 100 meter ale. Cant wait to drink them.
Guess I'm one of those 10% who just love the smell of hops in the boil when I brew!!! I tip my hat to you John you are what inspiration is all about! Thanks!
This video is not hype. If you go to coastal Oregon, stop by and try it for yourself. If you love beer, Rogue's is the best, period. What a gift to us all, THANKS JOHN!!! The sampling and food upstairs is simply a must do experience. I have to say though, Cline isn't the director of BS, I am!!!!!
Rogue's what really got me into quality beer, and no matter what other beers I try, I always go back to Rogue. Consistently the best brewery on the planet, in my humble opinion. John, and Rogue in general, you guys are freakin' amazing.

This was damn good because it got close to what John is all about. And it's nice to see Jack hasn't fallen apart over the years. He is extremely old.

Brutal Bitter is freaking awesome, it's easily on my top 10 list. I was lucky enough to have it on tap here in Ohio once.

I think it's called "Bluesy soundtrack." It almost sounds like a blues version of Heartbreak Hotel.
