Out of curiosity what movie is it from 0:01 to 0:05? I've been going through your list but there are a lot of movies and versions out there and the girl is very pretty.
Excellent work! First, I have to compliment your taste by using Kate Bush (love her!) and by pairing my beloved Lilli with the gorgeous Richard Armitage *melts*. I love your use of clips too, referring to other fairy tales like The Frog Prince and the old German film of Snow White as well as A Tale of Terror. I love the editing too, especially with your creative use of clips. Also, thank you for using a lesser known fairy tale. Well done and thank you for entering!
@FantasmaLuna Thank you so much for you comment! Yay, another Kate Bush fan! I love her too! :D Anyway, the girl who played Snow White in that old movie version looked a lot like Lilli, so she seemed perfect for her younger self and The Red Shoes has always been one of my favorite stories, so I really enjoyed doing this video. (Not to mention the gorgeous Richard Armitage was perfect as the soldier!)
BTW, when are you going to have your results video up?
@EponineGraydeChagny Oh, I adore Kate Bush! She does look a bit like Lilli, doesn't she? It really fits. And yes, Richard Armitage is painfully gorgeous as the soldier and I loved their chemistry. I kinda like to think the soldier was the Grimm Reaper in disguise. LOL!
I'm working on the results as we speak, which is why I finally decided to comment. The results should be up within a couple of days or so. :)
@FantasmaLuna Kate Bush has some amazing music! She does kinda look like Lilli, come to think of it. lol As for the soldier, I like to leave it up to the viewer to decide exactly who he was, so it's definately interesting to think of him as the Grim Reaper in disguise! :D
Beautyful editing, and your choice of the song is awesome for dancing with your video. The couple Richard Armitage/Monica Keena is so cute and your idea of writing what they say is great, as if it was a short movie.
I liked your version much better than HCA's!! His version scared the bejeebies out of me when I read it as a kid. I'm serious- I had nightmares about that fairy tale and the picture they included in the children's book- with an evil looking woodcutter and an ax, and her dancing by his cottage... *shivers*- very imaginative!! :) And I love that you used Guy of Gisborne as the soldier. ;-)
@honeyphan2 Thank you very much! I've always liked this story actually, I don't know why. lol It is really creepy though and I remember that picture too actually. I'm glad you liked my choice for the soldier, he had the perfect look I was looking for. :D

What version? The Cannon version doesn't have that scene.

@goddessofmanga It's from a Czech/German version. (Entitled Zabí král or Der Froschkönig if you're interested in looking it up.)

@goddessofmanga Do you mean at 1:34? That's from The Frog Prince.

@Ayakana Thank you so much! I was a little worried that the subtitles would be too much, but I'm glad to see they weren't.
