Terrible video!! I can't tell what is what in this video and he has already started tying the hitch before he begins to explain. Can't see the ends of the rope, can't tell how it is used exactly around some guys neck.
no mate , this is a 3 knot system, instead of using a split tail or a prusik loop , its basically tying the friction knot aka the blakes hitch in this case back to the climbing side of the rope,to do this you need to take one end of your rope and tie a bowline in it , but leave enough rope coming off the tail of the bow line and with this slack tie the blakes hitch to the other end of your rope
