Of course, I know. Oscar Romero was a bishop of the Catholic Church in El Salvador. He was assassinated on 1980.

@TheKarliczek1001 Something in the back of my mind suspected that you did know. My intent with that statement was to try and bring some attention to this post. It just seems very sad to me that music of this quality has only garnered 5 comments. ..Additionally, names like Jean Luc Ponty and Oscar Romero are not commonly known on the American landscape, and they should be. Just look at the names that everyone does know. Its pretty sad don't you think?

These are two different figures. Ponty is a musician, Romero was a bishop. Let's do not compare this. Ponty made for murdered bishop homage across his own music. So I this see.

@TheKarliczek1001 I am fully aware they are two different figures. I am fully aware that Ponty is a musician. he is a friend of my boyfriend and I have had dinner with him. I am fully aware that Romero was a bishop. But obviously you do not get what I said. And that's not my fault.
