As a 13 yr old Canadian viewer of corner gas. I really like this show. Its opened alot of windows and closed alot of doors. to me..... this show (CORNER GAS) Is the best show i've seen in the 13 yrs of my life (possibly i will live till 50-80 yrs old. i'd watch the show if u we're you. Yes that means you to America. You can watch this funny yet awsome show. And laugh at other people.
Corner Gas is a gas. If you're one of those people who worries this show is a poor reflection of Canadians, you just don't get it. Oh well! I enjoy it and that's all that matters to me.
Memo to fellow Canadians: Stop bitching about how others perceive us based on this, or Celine, or Nickelback. It's getting to the point where our national identity is a bunch of Canadians whining about how we're mis-perceived by others. Enough already. Stop being defined by your neighbors. The only reason this show is on the air is because network TV has to play a certain percentage of Canadian content. Poor acting and a shitty script are just a few things that plague this TV series. I heard they use episodes of corner gas as a form of punishment against child molesters in China. Fuck Corner Gas.
People must be actually liking it, or they wouldn't keep playing it. Whether a show stays on air or not depends entirely on ratings. Companies with a product to advertise pay a station big bucks to have their commercial played during shows with big ratings. If a show didn't have big ratings, nobody would want to advertise, it wouldn't bring in money, and therefore, the show is cancelled. Corner Gas is obviously bringin in the big bucks. And I happen to like it. :)

This show actually is extremely funny. Perhaps it's you who doesn't have a sense of humor. Maybe it's just not your cup of tea the way I think Southpark is the most retarded and unfunny show ever made yet lots of my friends find it drop dead hilarious.
You also might want to rethink your stance on Candians not having a sense of humor of because quite a large number of the funniest and most famous "Americans" in Hollywood are actually Canadians.

The Buttman used to be funny but when comedians get onto sitcoms, they loose their edge. And this show... well, I dont watch often, but Ive seen a few episodes. It used to be ok, but then they stole the wipe sound effect (and the WHOLE STYLE!!!) from Malcolm in the middle and it's unwatchable. One thing I cant stand is stealing an idea that is THAT obvious. So I dont watch at ALL any more. Canadians are funny without stealing from americans.
I am glad I live in Canada now, instead of moving to the United States. I have a bad feeling this will not act well in the US market. Still funny show, (So is little mosque)
