Very nice movie! The weather was maybe not too good, but that seems to be an advantage: AB flame and lights are clearly visible! Beautiful plane! I have been at the Lulea and Ronneby airshows, just to see this bird. Keep 'm coming!
For me this is the best aircraft even made in Europe: very original shape, state of art in avionics, reliability and for thrue capacity to operate everywhere in few time to take-off. All these caracteristics and many more since almost 40 years!!! This means that the country that developed this Sweden is very and nice. The sweden make a very nice girls and very good industries (Volvo, Saab, Ericsson and many more); this means that the people that live-it are specials.

Well, i feel I have to make a "correction" ...: Speaking of girls, they are obviously very nice but you can't write about people as they were "industrial products" ... I'm sure that no one meant it BUT just in the case ... Better to avoid any kind of misunderstanding !!!!!
My purpose was to describe the Swerige for a good country in all the components. Perhaps I have exagerated because I perform a techical job, so in my mind a lot of times I use a language to much cold.
And maybe was my very little english, nothing in confront of the scandinavian and nord european citizens.
Viggen is retired from the first line since november 2005 and maybe two or three will be kept flying in the airhistorical squadron at F7 Såtenäs. Interceptor version of Viggen will as it looks now, not be kept flying due to a very complex avionics. Only AJS and perhaps Sk37 will be kept flying.
Ohh yes! I did my service in the airforce, in a ground unit. One day we had a n exercise on the grassfield next to the landingstrip. One pilot thought it would be funny to sneak up behind us at low altitude. I dont remember how fast he was flying, we never saw him comming. However, he came in very low. The sound of the viggen forced the whole platoon on the gound. No one was able to stay upright, the ground shook and you could feel the sound vibrate though out the entire body.
Unfortunatly, not even we swedes get to see Viggens in the air anymore. The ones that are saved are for static display. Ok, one is saved for flying at airshows but it is not the JA version whith the big engine. Atleast its something. :o)

haha yeah it should be illegal to take all the Viggens out of flight .. actually i do like the sound in the videos a lot myself .. i like how it rips through the air. There are lots of vids where people have put music in it .. i think that's a big wast .. I mean the sound of the planes engine is a big part of the fun isn't it ?! ..
... but you guys up there in Sweden are lucky .. i almost never get and got to see a Viggen .. not now since they are being replaced by the Gripen .. and not before when it was an active fighter.. I think i am going to save some money to buy one to put in my garden :D .. haha ..
really too bad .. the Viggen isn't comming to any airshows around here anymore.. :( .. now that i have my new videocamera :D .. It's been a few years since i've seen one up in the air.. the last few years it's only been the Saab 39 .. which is nice but far from the Viggen i think ..

I have seen the Viggen (for first and last time :(
In Zeltweg (Austria)5-6 years ago and I was impressionated about this aircraft; above-all for the
fast landing with the reverse trust and then for take off in full AB. The sensation was similar an earthquake in my stomach.
Logically keep writing in English (I hope not in sverige). If you want in italian ;)

I have seen ......and heard this aircraft many times.
not only on airshows because i live near the old airbase F14 (Norrköping)About 40 km from Linköping.
Can't get enough so thank you all who post things like that.
