  • @natedog1005 ...Thanks...do some reading on it and give it a try, be safe and go with someone that does first...very addictive.

  • Hey you might want to next time tracking her at night, sometimes if they sit over night the meat can tant. So good luck and happy hunting

  • @Draizannatomy ...you are correct on that...it was well under 50 degrees that nite and I put a good heart shot on it so no blood in the gut cavity just in the diaphram area. I took it to a good butcher I trust and let him know it sat. I dont like to waste but I dont want to be sick either. Appereciate the concern and also for watching. Happy Holidays!

  • DUDE U ATE THAT ROTTEN DEE?

  • @cookiemonsterfull12 ...it was well under 50 degrees that nite and I put a good heart shot on it so no blood in the gut cavity just in the diaphram area. I took it to a good butcher I trust and let him know it sat. I dont like to waste but I dont want to be sick either. Thanks for watching.

  • So good to see a fellow marylander on here! What county are you from? I just took my first buck from southern Anne arundel county. A nice 3 point bout 160 pounds. Def subscribed

  • @licialooful ...Yes in deed...Southern Charles County. Congrats on the Buck! Many hunters come out the woods with no deer...all of them are trophies is how I treat them buck or doe...but its always good to get that horn now and then...lol. Keep up the good work and be safe and thanks for watching. I have a new video up and i subbed back

  • wtf...u a vampire?

  • @ederinho420 ...lol Yes a Day Walker...with a weapon aka Blackula. Be safe thanks for watching

  • may i suggest a little trick my uncle uses? He finds a good open spot and sets up his stand, he does this off season and doesnt bring his rifle so he wont catch any flack from the game warden. He then goes to the end of that clearing, about 30 yards away and digs 6 inches into the dirt. He forms a trench that runs perpendicular to the stand. He breaks mineral salt and puts it in the trench and covers it. Deer paw along the line and give good broad side shots. 20 years later it still works.

  • @azreal289 Thanks my friend...I will try that...good hunting

  • where and how do u aim with it cause i cant hit verry well with mine if i aim straight down the barrel i have to aim way high instead of hiting deadon like my remington 870 pump my single shot isn the one i cant hitnothing with

  • @caleb5665 I shoot the Remington Sluggers shells in my 20 gage 3/4 oz slug and in the 12 gage Winchester Super X light recoil 1oz slug. You dont need a super fast slug, slower means more accurate shot less kick in light guns. You have to get used to the gun and try different amo. Start @ 20yds dead on Bulleye and work your way back. Used a big piece of ply wood and place target in middle and see how different amo moves when you put sight right on center target. Some put red dot scope on them

  • @eball5ooo all right thanks

  • @caleb5665 ...you may want to try a faster slug, try Winchester 2 3/4 Rackmaster Slug with the wing gaurd (black box 1600 fps) aim just a hair high on any shot over 50 yard this is definatley not a 870 but if your having some concerns...here is option B and you will hit everything with this shell Remmington 2 3/4 00 Buck shot 12 pellet will kill them dead up to 50 yards down the barrel aim. Legal in Maryland check your state

  • @eball5ooo thank you and buckshot is legal in virginia thats what ive been using except i use remington 3 inch mmagnum 00 buckshot with 15 pellets you should try that ill try them slugs

  • @caleb5665 ...ok will do ...Green Top Sporting Goods has a good deal on them

  • Why don't american hunters take the innards...thats the must nutritious part of an animal

  • is it a 22 slug rifle

  • @bailzdandec ....that's a 12 Gage single shot break action slug gun with a smooth modified bore barrel made by H and R. Thanks for watching

  • what do you do for a day job black buck? you need to get your ass on outdoor channel or sportsman channel. give em a different perspective if you catch my meaning. i find your youtube clips far more interesting than some of their shows. im in hunter saftey course now since last we talked. starting with small game like you suggested. just hoping to make contacts up here in wisconsin to get huntable private land so i can get a shot at my own deer someday. ill do small game on public but not deer.

  • Black Buck

Sorry mate for my last post:(

I sincerely apologise by calling you the wrong name:(

  • @Holidats ...no worries my friend Honest mistake by what seems to be a Honest Man..."I've been called worst by those who love me...lol"

Hope the info helps you...the 12 gage is a powerfull weapon...but if your making long shots 30.06 is a good calibur for big boys.

  • @eball5ooo

Black buck, cheers again mate. Great videos mate; I hope you can post a few more in the next few seasons.

Keep up the nice ethical kills, well done. Also, I wanted to say, great camo. Have you ever used those, Remington AccuTip Bonded Sabot Slug? And ya song mate! That's so funny! lol. Best to you and i hope you have plenty of good hunting and fishing. H

  • Goodaye Black But, nice shooting mate, I liked that heart shot well done

I have a couple of questions about shooting deer because I'm from Australia

We have deer but some are quite large, like Sambar and Red deer. I know of a hunting area that has good Red Deer and have always thought about hunting them with a shotgun. Do you use rifled one ounce slugs and for a well placed shot like yours, what is the maximum range for shooting a large deer?

    Regards

  • @Holidats ...I shoot the Remington Sluggers shells in my 20 gage 3/4 oz slug and in the 12 gage Super X light recoil 1oz slug. You dont need a super fast slug, slower means more accurate shot less kick in light guns. Both are non rifled barrels modified choke barrel open sights.

With the 12gage shotgun out to 70 yards, the 20gage shotgun out to 55yds for me accurate. I have a New England rifled bull barrel gun that can get out to 125yds accurate with red dot scope and rifled slug.

  • @eball5ooo

Black Buck, thankyou for the replies to both of my posts. After reading your suggestions, the 1oz slug seems to be what I may have to go for. Unfortunately, I don't have a scoped shotgun, just open sights. From where I come from we never hunted large game because it just wasn't available. Having moved to the east coast of Australia there's a lot of deer which I've seen whilst out prospecting at around dusk. I'm pretty sure they are red deer. Anyway, thanks again. H:)

  • @eball5ooo Hows the fixed modified chokes working with rifled slugs? Ive always heard rifle slugs best perform with improved cylinder or cylinder, But lately ive been considering buying a H&R 12 gauge single shot that has a fixed modified choke for times when I dont feel like using my scoped rifled barrel slug gun.

  • how far can you shoot accurately with the sluggers and super x slugs? do you have a rifled barrel and rifled sights? thanks

  • @nathon28 ...I shoot the Remington Sluggers in my 20 gage 3/4 slug and in the 12 gage Super X light recoil. You dont need a super fast slug, slower means more accurate shot less kick in light guns. Both are non rifled barrels modified choke barrel open sights. With the 12g out to 70 yards, the 20g out to 55yds. I have a New England rifled bull barrel that can get out to 125yds accurate with red dot scope and rifled slug.

  • perfect shot placement nice kill

  • What brand of slugs are you using? I have the same shotgun in 20 gauge, but I haven't been able to find a brand of slugs that shoot well out of it.

  • @Wiggy8675309 Thanks for watching...I use Remington Slugger 3/4 oz slug for the 20 gage ...Winchester Super X works well on both also...on the 12 i use the "light recoil" has a feather on shell

  • With a hit like that, why didn't you grab a lantern and recover it the first night?

  • good job and good video very nice!

  • @mirraco51 ...Thanks alot for watching! I need to get my live footage going this year...work in progress. Enjoy yourself if your getting out there this season

  • @eball5ooo live footage would be awesome!

  • @mirraco51...you are so right...I got one of the Wild Game Inovation cameras to try out. I need to get better with live action...I just dont like all that movement..going to try the head gear that come with it...good luck to you this season...going Black powder huntn on Friday and Sat

  • @mirraco51 ...Hey thanks for the comment appreciate that...trying to get my live stuff going this season...be safe and hunt often!

  • hey black buck im a black buck 21 year old hunter too.i do most of my hunting in calvert.but its just cool to see some more black hunter out here doing there thing.so keep up the good work

  • @bradely56 ...thanks Bro...they have some good deer in Calvet I hear. Good Luck to you this year and be safe. Keep me psted

  • You getting sloppy bud. Why wait drag that deer out while he's warm and easy to clean

  • @Greenf00t ...I had a small head light on that wouldnt do the trick in low light...please know it didnt go to waste. Plus 1/4 mile walk back to the barn one way for a lantern and back into the woods, I didnt think it was good idea. With the temp going to be in the sub 50 degrees that night, better to make a quick safe recovery in the morning. Thanks for watching

  • Alright thanks

  • i have a new england 12gauge just lik tht one nd i was wondering if you can shoot slugs out of a straight barrel tht is not rifled? would it mess anything up?

  • @countryboyredneck100 ...yes you can mine is not rifled, just a modified choke barrel...I wouldnt shoot ant further that 60-65 yards just my own preference for a good shot placement

  • man that day last year was awsome i didnt kill any but man i seen alot!! wooo this year is gonna be even better!!

  • The song is back and the black buck is back!!!!Nice deer, how big is your granpa farm?

  • @BoricuaHunter ...yes it is AC/DC...87 acres small compared to most has a rain fed stream right down the middle in the low land that holds water and a large corn and soybean farm ne next to it. 30-40 years ago it had two county roads which are now great trails feeds, that the deer travel

  • Black buck is back!!!

  • Do you eat the liver?

  • @ROFLpwnedvideos ...never ate the liver - I hear its tasty with oinions and rice n gravy...I have a buddie that carries a small cooler in the field during late season, when he field dresses the deer it goes right on ice and he cooks it that night or the next morning...only late season

  • That's a nice chunk of meat.

  • @ROFLpwnedvideos ...yes it was...had the hinds smoked, tender loins, steak, ground sausage, jerkey and first time had some deer half smokes with cheedar cheese inserted...very tasty

  • @eball5ooo

    All of that sounds delicious.
