@holdmiester Pretentious? I've heard Avey talk about musically rendering sound from imagery, their unique approach to creating music, and Avey's initial struggle with performing. What I have NOT heard is pompous or overblown language, conversation about their prominence in the indie world, or nonsensical hipster banter we're so unfortunately bombarded with. Oh and by the way, their albums are fucking brilliant.

@cmatthews926 i was really high when i saw this the first time. he seems less awful now, but theres still something in the way he talks that erks me the wrong way. ive never liked the guy in bands who dominates interviews, like avey tare. but i saw him at the oddsac screening here in sf and he seemed like an OK dude. dont take my opinion of him personally, i love animal collective to death.

@cmatthews926 Oddsac is this film the members of animal collective made with some guy danny something over the course of the past 4 years. its super weird. no story really, its one of things thats a collection of strange & often frightening clips, much like the ring film. super "indie." some of the music was great and i left with a brand new mindset about shit
