@lizzerdking9 You might be looking at one of the amazon marketplace sellers who are trying to sell it to make a profit. Amazon themselves ran out of stock.

The disc error happened to me literally just a few moments ago...right as I was about to beat Skyward Sword! So I just bought it from the cheapest and most reliable-looking amazon seller on there for $15.49.

The Nintendo store has it for $9.99, but it's backordered, and they won't be getting any more until January 3, 2012. :(

@VideoGamesNinendo If the lens is the problem than yes it should work. But I would not spend $ on a new Wii. there are other ways to play Wii games other than disc format. Try this first.

im feeling the pain you had . i was playing black ops and in the middle of the match the error came up. i almost SHAT myself. i didnt want to pay nintendo to fix it for 100 bucks when i could get a new one for 130. but i will definetly use this hope it works. I NEEDS MY BLACK OPS!!!

I recently got a wii it won't read any games or disks. I don't have mods. it was working all good unitl it won't read a game so i turned it off so none of the games will be able to read. can this fix it too. when I insert a a disk the wii makes a stuttering, jamming sound.

Do you smoke in your home? I smoke weed and cigarettes a lot near my wii so I am thinking it is smoke damage that is causing my wii to not read brawl (reads any other game first try) Does the wii cleaning kit help for smoke damage or will I have to send it in and probably get it lost in the mail?

Thanks for reviewing this, it was a great help. My Wii is having read problems with Metroid Prime Trilogy / Brawl now, and I was considering trying this before replacing parts as well, I'll gamble $9.99 before spending $50-75 on a laser/drive replacement.

I was just reluctant to try it because I had no idea what the thing was, (box is a poor source for info and you cant just open it in the store- I asked) and I've heard of some dvd-cleaning discs damaging consoles. Seems a bit more legit now

Any one have a solution to the 'AN ERROR HAS OCCURED" problem that seems to be popping up with the WII as of late? Or has anyone getting this error had any luck with the cleaning kit? I tried the disc cleaner and well, it worked for me! I was only getting 5 mins before the error message came up on the COD Black-Ops. Now im playing over 2++++ hours. NO error message...yet?! Other games NO error messages. I used the cleaner three time and got a bunch of junk on that little pad. Hope it helps you. Thanks again....
