Every country divides over time and kills each other. Its sad but its true. And then others get involved in outside situations to drive the fight into a different direction. So if they kill more American troops then they win and if they die in battle, they win.

I'm three days away from turning twenty two. I was in tenth grade when we first attacked, and everyone thought we were going to go one, fix it, and get out. A couple months later, the troops marched into Baghdad to the Iraqis toppling a statue of Hussein, and we all thought it was over. The government even said it was.

I have to agree with some of the previous comments, typically Mr. Oberst is articulate when delivering his words of protest, but not this time. All i can say is it's not just the message (which i agree with) but how that message is relayed. Swears and a mess of words can draw cheers, but not always the best way to get a message across. His songs are thought provoking, and his in between song banter is typically good, he just may have left his oratory skills at home that night.
