  • @Johnlindsey289 With Bakshi's films there's so much effort put into making these handdrawn pictures come to life. With todays CG films its just the same computer effects that you see in videogames. It just doesn't have the same appeal as the earlier rotoscoping.

  • So their band became the mamas and the papas, bob Dylan, jefferson airplane, and the doors?

  • @bunnywailer14 Its amalgram of all 60s bands I guess, every member based a bit on basically every major rocker of that decade.

  • @bunnywailer14 apparently so.

  • @bunnywailer14 it's supposed to be a synopsis of the evolution of music genres through American history using the unifying thread of a single (non-existant) family. Take another hit and just flow with it. lol

  • "What's in this punch,man?"

"A little water, a little sugar, and red dye number 2!" (and a little LSD 25)

  • I never saw this before tonight. I just found my favorite movie of all time.

  • These songs are mindblowing, gee. Shame they don't include such greats songs in cartoons anymore, or any other show for that matter. Things were just better back in the days...

  • hey man what is this shit your pullin hoodini's shes pullin freak out city lol classic

  • this animation is great! the expressions are so human

  • @MaggieSouth It's because they used a technique called rotoscoping where they filmed real actors and then animated over the live actors.

  • @gobears1987

Do you think it's similar to what Robert Zemeckis and James Cameron are doing in their rotoscopic animated movies?

  • every part just keeps getting better!

  • Stunning. I'm watching the entire American Pop movie, but don't want to start the next episode, because I don't want this film to end, Only two Eps to go, Loved the fruit punch.

  • great movie...I love it! *_*

  • that part trips me out. an acid trip no doubt

  • The actress playing Frankie, Marya Small, played Candy in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" ("Are you all crazy?") who helps Billy Bibbitt lose his virginity.

  • This is a very accurate accounting of Bob Dylan's early life

  • Yeah right he just happens to run into Jefferson Airplane before they're famous and writes their songs. She looks like she's holding a dildo

  • It's not Jefferson Airplane. It's every band.

  • I love this version of Somebody to love. Is it Jefferson Airplane or the actors?

  • I'm not completely positive, but I think it's the Jefferson Airplane version

  • I think it kinda sounds like the person playing frankie.

  • This version (and all songs sung by Frankie) was sung by Marcy Levy AKA Marcella Detroit

  • well it's your wife man!

  • ace
