@MissOfBlah korea and japan actually originated in china and made themselves independent countries and since both countries originated frome the same their language changed but is similar but im guessing it might be japanese because some of the characters i may not reconize or the quality is too hard to see
The people of Japan came from China thousands of years ago to Japan and North Korea back in the middle ages, even tho they had their own culture and language, they were part of China for about Four hunderth years until the 1500's when they broke away and form their own country. Even most of the people today in Korea have family members living in China even tho they are now two different countries. Up until the 19th century Korea was still consider to be part of China.
@WarshipAngelus Of course Korea is more influenced from China than Japan. What you are implying is like saying Canada is much more influenced from US than some other country over sea. Korea is a country with more than 5000 years of history. That makes them straight up Korean.
Thank you for sharing your opinion and textbook quotes however I am not sure what you are trying to prove here. Koreans are Koreans and we are probably one of the most patriotic people in the world. Have a nice day.
Yes, 5000 years of history and most of that is part of China....
LOL. The modern state of Korea didn't come into being until the 1500's so they really only have 700 years of history as a country. So part of their 43,00 years was spent with China.. Now that's something to look at.. But thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts with me this has been a good day for me..
@WarshipAngelus they made their own letter hangeul in 1400 what the hell are you talking about? China never supported Korea in terms of them making their own letters, nor did it ever control Korea's politics at that time. They never made laws for Korea. Most asian countries have their roots in China but each country has their own culture that is specific to their country. Korea has been its own nation for yrs. It was primarily in 3 nations Shilla Goguryuh and baekjae, then as Goryuh and Joseon
@WarshipAngelus Although I still don't quite agree with your analogy (I think it's a little far fetched!), I realize that you are not a troll. In all honesty I am not a historian(far from it) and I don't really have any strong evidence off of my head to convince you, why don't you meet me in the middle and end this debate here? After all, I believe human race should unite as a whole and expand ourselves into the outer space. Earth is such a small place in grand scheme of things (the universe!)
@WarshipAngelus china cannot be seen as one unified country and race of people. it is the whole different varieties of asian races unified in a country. just like united states with many different people. thus in terms of history, we cannot really argue that china was always a dominant actor in east asian history but which "current" chinese race?
You can say what you view as different varieties of asian races within China, but looking at the history of China and the People, they are all chinese and speak and share a common history... China thousands of years ago wasa bunch of small kingdom that were brought together throw war.. If I was to compare China to another Country, I would use Greece, the reason. Because both nations were small city states before becoming one whole country.
@WarshipAngelus dont get me wrong but when you look at tibet, uguir, mongols, koreans... and many more they have their own unique culture and customs. it sucks that chinese communism basically wiped all of their identities and blend them into the majority "han" culture. its like the canadian government forces quebec province to become british custom which is not happening anymore. i am not trying to say china is bad but it would be better if chinese government acknowledge other cultures as well.
There many be different chinese sub-groups like the Hans, Miao-Yao, Hu for example, but they are all chinese and share a common history and speak different dialect, but still consider themseleves to be Chinese by their common history. If You look at history pretty much China in one form or another was a dominant factor in Southeast Asia and it give rise to countries like Japan, Korea, Vietnam.
@WarshipAngelus What do u want to say? If ur theory is right ...We wil b sons & daughters from Adam & Eve by Bible...and if u r not religious..We r just fucking human beings from African Ancestor..
China is part of whole World...U should b a comedian..
@megaman12521 Japan back in the 1700's had set up Japanese colonies in Korea and axened large parts of Korea for Japan and even today their is still bad blood between Koreans and Japanese. The Korean culture is alot closer to Chinese culture and the language even tho different is alot closer to Chinese.. The Koreans are really a mix of Japanese and Chinese people when You think about it. But the Koreans are more closely related to the Chinese, even tho they don't want to admitted.
Everything that I've mention is true. If You don't want to admitted, that's fine..
almost every asian country in southeast asia can look back almost 5000 years and their roots are in China.. Japan, Korea N. Just two good examples Even Vietnam which had it's own cutlure and history was later taken over by China for atleast one thousand year until they won their freedom from China. I can go on, but those are the facts.. " Take it or leave it alone."
Even today when You go and try to learn Japanese which is divided into three different language. The orignal one that use symbols still use moslty chinese letter symbols in their language. Up until 3 A.D the Japanese in Japan were still speaking Chinese, it wasn't until the seventh century that Japanese became what it is now. The Koreans were still speaking Chinese in 13 A.D and it wasn't until 15 A.D that the native Korean langauge become the main language all over Korea.
The funny thing about Japan China and Korea is the fact that each country has a different name for each other.. For example. Japan in ancient times was called Nippon. Even today the people in Japan called their country Nippon which is the real name for Japan in Japanese. It was the Europeans that came to Japan and called it Japan when they couldn't pronoce Nippon. Also China at one time was called "Huaxia" by the Han people living in China.
@megaman12521 The Korean language is not even close to Japanese or Chines. Some Chines letters are used but the koreans have a diffrent sound (word) for them. Japanese use many more Chines letters then Korean and in day to day righting.
@KakuKachoO yea you're only laughing out of ignorance. yes there is a difference in the accent because the language is different, and its pronounced differently. try speaking korean, u'll sound like a total fucking retard.
vice versa with Koreans. they laugh when u guys pronounce Samsung and Hyundai. Japanese people mock americans who cant pronounce toyota and mistubishi properly.
LOL, dork stealing your superiors food. And the bad thing is getting caught in the process. Ha and I guess the 5 second rule applies anywhere. In the boss's case I guess blowing on it works too how ever long it took him to search for it on the floor.
i just got this commercial.. cuz in things like this u need to look beyond.. ok they are saying that Chinese guyz alwayz eat @ work.. cuz the lettering on the door was on chinese characters so basically someone that is in the room is a Chinese guy.. so yah this is the time when Korean ppl got a beef on the Chinese ppl..
That was actually Han Ja, it's Korean but with Chinese Characters. They still use Chinese Characters but mostly older Koreans can still read it, at least all the Koreans I know who are in their 20's and 30's don't really understand it so much but I could be wrong.
@jinsok1011 I'm in Korea right now, and strangely, the sodas and snacks are substantially cheaper than they are back in the states.
And yes, 1000 won is approximately $1.00 USD. 5000 is 5 bucks, 10000 is 10, and so on. An easy way to remember is drop off the last 0, and put a decimal before the last two. So, 1000 would look like 1.00.
