it's a great film yeah but this is just my opinion ok I think the movie reminded me of "National Treasure" cause it's all about clues,riddles,puzzles and alot of history. but National Treasure was far more better and more action the only good thing about this movie is that it takes you on a journey behind the Vatican Walls a place we all know got so much secrets so I kinda enjoy the little trip along with Tom Hanks and that Hot chick haha and in National Treasure we had a blond hot chick yeah;)

The movie shouldn't offend any Catholics because all they did were switch the Cardinals' names and put a story behind it. Other than that, all references to the Illuminati, artwork, places, and technology are completely factual. It says so in the Author's Notes, as well as CERN having recently found anti-matter. Read the book, read the Author's Notes, and have a great time.
The Author's notes in Dan Brown's books are the only fiction in his books that I have issues with. It's being presented as fact!! If he just throws out his author's notes, I'm fine with his books actually.

Angels and Demons could very well catch up to The Da Vinci Code in the long run, but it opened at $48 million whereas The Da Vinci Code opened at $77 million. But regardless of the box office numbers, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed both films. :)

The movie had a visual richness, of course it helped that the setting was on the beautiful streets of Italy, i liked the movie, but i expected much more, so i was disappointed, there was something wrong with the movie i cant quite pinpoint, but i think it had to do with the flow between scenes,
i think the movie had an abnormal flow, if you remember the scenes where Langdon is trying to locate the churches than you know what i'm talking about, the flow in Da Vinci Code was much better, there was a climax and the suspense was building up, i cant say the same for angels &demons,
the scene where Langdon is trying to break through the glass in the vatican archives is more suspenseful than the whole chase in the movie...... anyways if i had to go back i would still watch it again, there's nothing better playing in theatres..... So ill give the movie 7/10, and 8/10 if im in a good mood :)

The movie is brilliantly shot in Rome, Vatican City just comes to life on screen and just looks amazing. Some of the plot twists obvious at times but still an enjoyable movie.
Book was way better, but the movie was very good. Movie was only 60% accurate to the book. They didnt include the illuminati diamond! that was was really the only let down. Overall I give the movie a 8.5/10. btw... the info on this video is misleading and wrong. Langdon isnt fighting against the church at all. Watch the movie next time before you write a synopsis
Angels and Demons, though it has some problems, tops the Da Vinci code in every way and is a surprisingly well made, acted, and just plain fun summer entertainment that is sure to keep audiences interested for its 2hrs plus running time.
10/10. Being Visually entertaining, thrilling, and thought compelling, Angels and Demons gives moviegoers not just candy for the eyes and mind, but it also gives them "cold stones" ice cream to go along with it.
If you liked The Davinci Code, even if it's just a little bit then you will enjoy Angels & Demons as it's the best between the two, but if you hated The Davinci code, Angels & Demons is a rental.

From a critcal point of view the movie can be worse than the DaVinci Code go a bit over the top (The monkey scene in Indy 4...) But this movie is much faster paced, its more gruesome (made me look away at one point) but extremely entertaining. I think people should go watch it without thinking about it too much :P

If a picture can paint a thousand words, a hundred words should be able to draw an outline; moreover, Angels and Demons, a title that might evoke the seriousness of what truth in religion could be, with the characterization taken from possibly a culture of real life ideals; furthermore, should we view the artistic unknown with an all judging eye, staring through the creative soul with a magnifying spectacle of life; finally, if the fat woman sings, the only thing that matters is the bottom line!
just like the poster this movie losses focus with an all to well known plot, i wish i was trapped on a desserted island because at least i would have had a better time than sitting and watching this. 2/5
Must have missed you guys again. Anyway, I pretty much dosed off throughout the movie. There were some decent moments and things got interesting towards the end but most of the film felt very stale and by the numbers.
As for it having any sense of depth, I felt Star Trek worked far better emotionally than this. At least Star Trek attempted to give the characters some personality.
Good movie. I've liked him since Star Wars, though "The Island" was a steaming pile of excrement. He's been doing a lot of smaller movies though. I checked IMDB and haven't even heard of a lot of his recent stuff.

This prequel fails to surpass the quality of the already mediocre Da Vinci Code due to it's unintentionally comedic diologue and outlandishly convoluted plot.

The film captured very accurately the role of science and religion in our lives.
The last line of the grand elector sums it up very nicely.
'Religion is flawed, just as man is flawed.

The movie had a visual richness, of course it helped that the setting was on the beautiful streets of Italy, i liked the movie, but i expected much more, so i was disappointed, there was something wrong with the movie i cant quite pinpoint, but i think it had to do with the flow between scenes,

i think the movie had an abnormal flow, if you remember the scenes where Langdon is trying to locate the churches than you know what i'm talking about, the flow in Da Vinci Code was much better, there was a climax and the suspense was building up, i cant say the same for angels &demons,

the scene where Langdon is trying to break through the glass in the vatican archives is more suspenseful than the whole chase in the movie...... anyways if i had to go back i would still watch it again, there's nothing better playing in theatres..... So ill give the movie 7/10, and 8/10 if im in a good mood :)

Once the logo appeared on screen and the silence was maintained, the loud action sequences and screams from this beautifully crafted film took over as everyone stayed put in their seats, hanging on for dear life.

I give it a 3/10 I'm not being a dick either. I've read the book countless times and the only thing that they did with this movie is throw in the plot twist and the way the cardinals died was a sham and embarassment to the novel. I'm very dissappointed in Ron Howards quest to kill these great books. The begining wasnt the same, nothing was! It was like he made the on the notion that the fans wouldnt bother going to see the movie, quite frankly, I would love my money back. Horrible movie.

The movie is brilliantly shot in Rome, Vatican City just comes to life on screen and just looks amazing. Some of the plot twists obvious at times but still an enjoyable movie.

Book was way better, but the movie was very good. Movie was only 60% accurate to the book. They didnt include the illuminati diamond! that was was really the only let down. Overall I give the movie a 8.5/10. btw... the info on this video is misleading and wrong. Langdon isnt fighting against the church at all. Watch the movie next time before you write a synopsis

the film was disappointing. they dispensed with the major points in the book, and i mean big time! kohler was reduced to utter insignificance, the camerlengo (mcgregor) didn't have his rather spectacular suicide which was supposed to resurrect the christian faith, and where the fuck are those inexorable BBC reporters (gunther glick and chinita marci)??? well, let alone the camerlengo being the son of the pope and his nun lover. shit! dan brown is the executive producer, btw.

Ugh! This movie sucked harder! At least the characters' motives in the Da Vinci code made sense. Aside from that, the plot has more holes than swiss cheese and is just about as cheesy too. I am glad I didn't read the book beforehand because, from what I hear, it would only make me loathe this cinematic adaptation even more.

From a critcal point of view the movie can be worse than the DaVinci Code go a bit over the top (The monkey scene in Indy 4...) But this movie is much faster paced, its more gruesome (made me look away at one point) but extremely entertaining. I think people should go watch it without thinking about it too much :P

Must have missed you guys again. Anyway, I pretty much dosed off throughout the movie. There were some decent moments and things got interesting towards the end but most of the film felt very stale and by the numbers.
As for it having any sense of depth, I felt Star Trek worked far better emotionally than this. At least Star Trek attempted to give the characters some personality.

I know they can't be compared, but in terms of Summer Blockbusters, Star Trek runs circles around this pretentious, 'everything happens so conveniently' borefest. If you weren't a fan of The Da Vinci Code, you most likely wont like this one, its more of the same, but different locations!
