  • Wow, that's huge! You guys ought to install a seat and go for a ride!

  • very nice, what sized prop are you using? any par vectoring?

  • this is a micro-piece of model-technique !!!!!

and in my eyes , well done.

the physic is well , and the controllings are smooth.....

dunno ask how much hp or ep = electro-power u need , to operate it.

  • America and Russia made bigger stuff like that in early 50's

  • Look at how slow and stable this is! It should be /very/ safe because you don't go that fast. Ground effect keeps it in the air at lower speed and keeps it from tipping or climbing higher than a few feet in the air. I would LOVE to build one of these someday. Perfect for rivers or lakes.

  • thats cool but I honestly think that ekranoplane was a legendary creation.

  • alexei woudl be proud to see his idea has found its way out of the powers that be.

  • it flies so easy... where is the engine?

  • its too slow\

  • Good job - respect!

  • @Roofius2

    Russian mindset is great.

  • @hakmt [insert your favourite "in soviet russia..." joke here]

  • @Roofius2 The Russians must still be holding a grudge about a little scuffle in 1905...

  • @Roofius2

    ok mr. do better then

  • @Roofius2 Japan is great with technology, dumb-ass. Russia has made great technology, but so has Japan so shut the fuck up.

Germany would own them both (No offense, Japan)

  • @hellcatdave1 japan great technology ? ha ha

bullshit Why Japan used robots from France instead of used the ?

Japan was praised by the robots

But on fukushima nuclear power plant them did not use and asked France

  • @Roofius2 Hahah, learn proper English.

I doubt you're even actually Slovac, probably just a wanna-be.

Japans created advancements in videogames, robot technology, dam tech, education, and even found a new parasite located in your moms vagina.

  • @hellcatdave1 bla bla bla

fukushima nuclear power plant = japan suck dick

  • @Roofius2 Go back to kindergarden.

The Fukushima was damaged by the tsunami, oh, wait!

    CHERNOBYL!

Why don't go visit the 100+ miles infested with Radiation caused by that Soviet accident (Which had Russian operators).

    Have fun in Ukrain, baby-poo.

  • @Roofius2 new orleans ! = usa sucks big black dick

  • That was some ground effect .... on water!

  • more like a hovercraft when the plane

  • Is there a way to get some plans for this baby?

    Does anybody know?

  • Awesome!

  • Like the effort, nice craft. Have you thought about coating the submerged parts in a material that is used for competition swimsuits that simulates shark skin, seal skin etc, that creates at even low speeds the equivalent of the 'boundary layer effect'? thus lowering water 'friction' resistance? Some modern racing yachts use a paint for the hull that does this, it would reduce aqua-drag at take off. so less power needed.

  • Wow how did that fit in your car? Did you have to take the wings off to fit it in? heheheh

  • This is the best looking WISES aircraft I have ever seen. The flight characteristics look very good especially the short take off run. Bravo! Very good use of the canard configuration.

  • Good Job !

  • boring

it would impress if it didn't run on petrol

  • @xxYouTub3Policexx

    ooooooooh

    how smart of u

    really impressed now

..... what a low life this cunt is

  • It's funny but there's lots of gas going out...

  • It looks good but it looks and is pitch sensitive - have a look in my channel a very stable tandem wing Canard 1 of 3, which you can use very well for this application

  • so VERY COOOOL...

  • VERY NICE!!!

  • Very nice!

Any plans to make this design transport humans?

  • cool! how much?

  • Very impressive, to achieve lift in such a short span. And unlike most ekranoplans, this one can turn :)

  • Very impressive but looks underpowerd

  • Not underpowered, but showing how few energy it needs to get out of the water...

    Impressive indeed.

  • The design has in sigh lift over SPEED...

The more energy you bring...the less speed you´ll get.

It actually is a balanced and conservative concept ...the problems happen when you search for better performance in high speed stability...

Answer: you´ll ned a whole new concetp.

  • Overall I like this ekranoplan.

Its long shape, main lift element placed far at the back and ability to get airborne and stay stable while airborne really make me think of the ships from WipEout for some reason.

I'd like that. What do you think? Put more red on it and call it an AG Systems design?

  • What weight of this ekranoplan?

  • The weight of the craft is 57kg.

  • What is the Horse Power rating for each wankel engine?

  • About 3PS!They are the Nitto Glow Wankel-type Rotaries

  • fantastic ! a great design and tech nohow !!!!

    well done

  • How many HP per wankel engine ?

  • Looks like it gets into wing effect at a much slower speed than other WIG/Ekranoplans, and still maintains good control. One of the best craft of its kind that I've seen, nicely done.

  • thats cool it looks like some ufo...its not going very fast though

  • 7.2 m????? it don´t appear that

  • this is ekranoplan

  • no, this is SPARTA

  • @blacksharkka50 no is a very old german technology over one hundred years ago

  • new way 4 illigal imigration or drug traffic!

  • thats leet

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like fun!

  • good job man!! cool vid hope to see more of that^^

  • That's awesome! It's incredible how slow it flies!

  • It looks like you've really nailed the slowler speed performance, congratulations.

The thing that always came to mind with me is the performance differential between water and airbourne performance, but this design looks to bring this gap closer together thereby giving more load and engine flexibility.

  • why radio controlled? wouldnt it be much easier to just put someone in the aircraft?

  • make the sound of a chicken.................

  • ehm ok, pok pok pooooook

  • ive never seen a chiken sounds like that lmfaoXD

  • Fantastic

  • i can only imagine the ufo stories being reported by fish

  • nice idea for this test model kit. demo in flight is interresting.

  • its a ground effect vehicle, design one that is stable and you wont have to work anymore.Doesn't anybody read anymore, the comments are something of around a 32 IQ.God help us,will all be living in caves again if these idiot poster's are the next generation of designers.

  • i don't know but i saw a huge WING! and it was moving a bit slow wasn't it?

  • Fucking china stole Russian technology

  • Yes,China did it.

    China stole Japanese technology,too.

But this model airplane is Japanese one.

    Tokyo university made it.

  • Twat.

Look at your own piss boring video first before judging other ppl. Like your your deranged family and stupid toys are better than this.

  • ok... but can u do that ? >:)

  • Try blowing compressed air through tiny holes on the underside of the hull.

  • I guess that needs a extra compressor as weight. I think this one was a really light construction. Why make it heavier?

  • Yes thats true but if the surface tension is somehow reduced then less power is needed for lift off. Less power requires less weight etc. Anyways it's just a thought.. Cheers all. Grant.

  • I thought to remember that a certain professor Boersmans in the University of Delft (Netherlands) is working on a similar project. A glider with a inbelievable glide-ratio. It has a system of tiny holes in the wings. Sorry, do not know more.

  • thats what you call ground effect!

  • holy shit ?

  • Impressive.

  • Is it hovering?

  • basically. It is using the so called "ground effect"

  • No it is NOT hovering.

  • it is hovering. Or if you want so, flying very low.

  • ...and that's the basic difference. hovering is ability to be motionless vs. ground in the absence of wind. for example a STOL airplane approaching to landing at 5km/h in presence of 40km/h opposite wind is not classified as hovering.

  • Ok, you win.

  • what s the weight I am lookin at!

  • u dont even need a plane license

  • but you need ship captain license.

  • It just a SEA PLANE. What goo d is it in comparison to a flying boat from the old CLIPPERS of the 1930s?

  • well they are much better. they use way less fuel, can carry heavier payloads than a airplane os seaplane and are actually not a plane. they are classed as a boat. so no plane licence is needed

  • I see. are there any plans in making them as big as a ship?

  • interesting question. but look at ekranoplane vids. russians have built them on large scale. boing have toyed with the idea on a truely huge scale. google up the name pelican i think. its a good idea this. but problems are surface shipping in the way now. accidents would happen

  • tre problesm at sea are large. due to hydrodynamic/aerodynamic resonance + freak waves they tend to crash once per year killing everybody.

  • "an carry heavier payloads than a airplane"

not true, they need much (2x? 3x) times more thrust than similar airplane for takeoff. for cruise speed they need less thrust but this means that heavy takeoff engines are carried onboard for no purpose in flight.

  • How to reduce the required thrust at takeoff is the main focus of the project. We are proposing the canard type configuration with forward mounted thrusters as a solution.

  • ...what is not much different than russians did in since sixties what will end with similar results. unles you reduce viscosity and surface tension of water.

  • additionally while forward munted trusters are used since a long time, they are exactly the surplus weight you are carrying.

second main problem with Ekranoplanes was the instability at high speed due to aero-water oscillations of pressure that ocassionally caused toppling overt the tail (raising bow 180 degrees).

canard type will only invite more problems like this unless you stay at 'typical tourist yaht' speeds.

  • @hakmt how about using a hydrofoil to get up to speed?

  • @krbosak a couple of rockets for incial take off is the most simple solution , learn history , it was used by the germans. long ago.

  • yea thats tight.. lets see it with a couple of gas turbines

  • excellent!!we can expect to see more of these in the future hopeffully on a much bigger scale

  • What?!

  • What a fantastic model! Look forward to the full scale version, thanks for sharing.

  • good work you re on the right track,hakmt-san.

  • are 2 strokes engines, were i can buy plans for somethin similar?

  • pretty damn kewl guys!

  • thank you. I'm new to youtube and dont know all it's features.

looks like I'll have to translate your page:)

  • is there a website for this, where a WIG enthusiast can keep track of your progress? Ive been planning to build a small scale electric WIG for amphibious racing purposes, and love seeing how the full scale developements are coming along

  • Writing URLs is not allowed in this site.

So, please find my web site from my user information.

  • Lol Russians do it in 1950

  • Will the real application also have a Wankel motor?

  • The real application will have turbo prop engines. They have good power weight ratio. We use Wankel type engines for the present model because of the low vibration characteristics of the engine in slow speeds.

  • that is cool that you got something that big to fly under R/C conditions

  • Not amazing speeds... but at least it floates ;) Remarkable, given the very small engines...

  • Thank you for the comment. The model is a light weight model for slow flights. We cannot operate a high-speed model because it immediately goes too far from our accompanying boat :-<. The speed of real applications will be from 200 to 400km/h.
