@Intoxiqated if you open up the controller you will see that any shape or material will do this is something i want to do as well would give you an edge in an fps for sure :) all that holds the trigger is a small hold and a spring i believe
can you or anyone tell me what kind of bullet to use to do the guide button i have done the abxy buttons and the d-pad but i do not know what bullet to get to do the guide button any info would be great i have tried the 300 mag and it is to small thank you
Hey Tony D. Awesome idea. I know the kids in my school would love this mod !!! Just to make mention. The viewers could use an electric drill with a 3/8" or larger chuck, to work as a vise to hold the 9mm casings while they work on them. If they close the chuck lightly, but still snug, this will hold the casing while they cut, scrape glue, or polish the finished product. It beats the crap outta' cuttin' the fingers. From one vet to another, Nam 68 - 72 Thanks for your service. God bless,
@yopirate23 o well 50s will only work for the big x button and it pistols (i think it will work but not sure) shot gun shells are ues for thumb sticks i made one last night
@yopirate23 yeah but its kinda hard first discharge the shel then saw the plastic outer case down the the metal so only metal remains the take out the blasting cap and there should be a wierd cardboard material left soke it in water to soften it up then use needle nose pliers to pull it all out cut off about 3 mm of the blasing cap with wire cutters thenhamer it down area your cut and crimp the thing so it looks like a cross and shape it up so it can go back into shell and the deform the shape
@CaesarRex That flies in the face of all saftey regulations that are in effect for us electricians here in sweden. You certainly do not cut towards yourself or towards someone else. I have been doing this work for the last 25 years, so believe me, I do have a clue. ANd I have seen quite a few "noobs" who cut their fingers in bad situations. The back of the blade should rest on your index finger and then you have a secure and safe grip on the knife that allows you to cut cables etc.
@arioch2004 you are an electrician not a craftsman. Oh and I am swedish too and it is common practice and they even teach it in schools during craft class that any fine crafting or carving with matte knives, small wood working knives, exacto blades etc IS supposed to be done using the thumb as the point of impact for superior control over the blade movements. Doing smaller knife work in any other way is actually *less* safe and not recommended. Unless the one doing it is an idiot ofc
@CaesarRex Sure. You go ahead and do it that way if you want. As the saying goes, if the head is stupid the body will suffer. For some reason I think you are just trolling because of my comments on the other video where you replied. And if you dont think being an electrician is to be a craftmen, then you seriously need to get a clue before you answer again. I have for 25 years done electrical installations, computer builds (usually in combination), dealing with setting up server halls.
I already tried this a while back but i made the tabs onto the bullet, and used .357 bullets which have a cap on the they look better but they dont work properly so dont use them the cap stops it from going in
lol i made it much easier... just use tin snips to cut it then bend out peices of the bullet to fit into the groves. then fill up the inside with a peice of a wooden dowel
This is really cool and all.. but where do i get 9mm shells in Denmark?
As far as i know, Danish laws say that its illegal to take any empty shells away from an shooting range, unless you have a special police permission... damn!
@bvdesa79094 I found some on an auction website. You can get like 300 for around 10$. Some buzzwords your looking for are "unprocessed" spent brass. Processed, means the spent primers have been taken out already so there is a hole in the back.
@AirbrushTricks I don't really know a whole lot about ammo. I just think a bullet is a bullet and that's it. So there is a actually a bullet and then it is housed by a casing. So what you want to do is get 9mm Bullets that have already been fired. The casing is the part that is left over. The casing is the part that you want to use. It will be safe to cut because it is no longer a live round.
@ayurgal Yes, just make sure you know what your getting. New empty casings don't come with primers. And the ones that do you don't want because you don't want live primers in buttons. Just not a good idea.
@Jack0674 Ha, i don't think so... It's still easier to just buy the buttons, but this is a fun project if you like doing things like this for yourself.
You want to use gorilla glue because, being a PU based glue, it will expand and create a seal, and it will not allow for any free play in the mount. And its way strong! You can be sure that those buttons will not come apart without a lot of work and even more swearing!
@Damage9i05 Well, Carl Sagan might have said it thus: If you wish to have bullet buttons, you must first elect representatives who will restore your rights.
Great video by the way. For those that want to do this but dont have the 9mm shells go hit up a shooting range Im sure you can find someone to give up four brass shells if not you can find alot of non brass ones.
@russ25052 Definitely.. they'll probably think your strange but that's normal for me...LOL. Spent casings are not very valuable, but they can be recycled for a little bit of money. That's why you should just offer a few bucks and they would be all about it.
@russ25052 Gorilla glue expands and bonds to metal. You can definitely use other types of glue. I just like Gorilla glue for stuff like this. It's bombproof and awesome...
