@chaclapa You're no Metallica fan. If you were, you would like every album. Not like those other pussies who hate on all the modern albums. Especially St. Anger.
@sorariku2002 u know u can be a full blown fan of a band even if you wouldnt like theyr every album and song. i my self like a lot of bands especially metallica and megadeth (and i do think im a big fan of both) but there are songs that i just absolutely hate from both bands. its called expressing your self and it is important especialy in music where the fans make the band.

@jnakl yeah and its extremely important to speak our mind about what we think of the albums cause in the music bisness no matter what band you are the industry always trys to make you different and its important that we the fans keep the music like it should be
It is funny and pathetic how many hits this only has compared to the crap they did with out Mustaine.
I was given this demo in 1982 by Ron Quintana of KUSF thrash and bang in SF. Met James at the Cabaret Metro in 1982 we drank often then smoked a lot with Cliff and it is simply amazing how Dave Mustaine has kept the sound and spirit of this style true to its metal form!!!! I saw Megadeth prove that metal is alive and well on 8/29/2010.
@biiiiirdman Well, I'm no professional, but IMO, here's what I would change... I think the drums are too loud and the hi-hat is really sloshy (drummers know what I mean). The snare is too quiet. I'd have Dave do separate rhythm and solo tracks and then mix the solo track in the middle with slightly cut down rhythms. If I'm not mistaken though, this demo was recorded all at once in Ron McGovney's garage. Like I said, I'm no expert, but I hope that helps.

Too bad Hetfield sounds like a homosexual-pirate since ReLoad. Remember when he shouts Fuel! Sounds like he threw up the word. Thank god for Black Album and before.
actually load and reload arnt bad at all theyre actually really good. Sadly people that are all like " I want master of puppets 17" dot like em because theyre to "hardcore" to realise that the loads are very advanced but not in a metal way.

legato doesn't make you better, it's just different than picking every note.
plus I was referring to the thing you said about vocals, not guitar. his singing is the same in this as in the kill em all version, only recorded better. since you think the style between the two recordings is so different, it's most likely your ears that are untrained
gonna have to agree with boundwithducttape, your the one with the untrained ear... legato doesn't make you better. and variety=hammer ons and pull offs???? i'm sorry but that was pretty stupid
im hearing these for the first time, and this oen is so far the best for me. soem parts i didnt like the guitar, but the overall feeling of the song was pretty good imo
hetfield wrote the song and sumhow the riff(he didnt know how to play tht gd) mustaine only performed the song but the rest of KEA are all mustaines songs.how can they not be
For the same reason that no bassist is credited with writing this song...because they didn't write this song. They merely performed on it. You'll notice on the liner notes to the album that Mustaine was credited as co-writer to 4 of the songs, and Kirk wasn't credited with any of the songs. Look at "And Justice for All", Kirk was credited as co-writer for 4 songs, yet he performed on all of them. All I'm saying is that writing and performing are totally separate issues.
The fact that he performed in the songs does not prove that he co-wrote the songs. Not sure if he did or not but performing and writing are separate talents.
i got it as an early christmas present, my uncle gave it to me he got it free in the 80's when it was new...i'd guess about $100 in good condition, but thats why i like cassetes, they're always in good condition

METALLICA IS:
JAMES HETFIELD - VOCALS, RHYTHM GUITAR
DAVE MUSTAINE - LEAD GUITAR
CLIFF BURTON - BASS
LARS ULRICH - DRUMS
(NOTE: BURTON DOES NOT PLAY ON THIS TAPE)
That should answer any dispute over who does vocals on the tape. It's Hetfield.

youre such an idiot
ofcourse its not just quality that changed
kirk changed alot of solos and mechanix changed to four horsemen. to the untrained ear daves solos may sound better,
but thats because dave only went for speed, which dave was commonly known for back in the day.
kirk went for variety and included alot more hammer ons and pull offs
Kirks solos were both better in my opinion,
but if you just go for speed you'd go for daves.

legato doesn't make you better, it's just different than picking every note.
plus I was referring to the thing you said about vocals, not guitar. his singing is the same in this as in the kill em all version, only recorded better. since you think the style between the two recordings is so different, it's most likely your ears that are untrained

gonna have to agree with boundwithducttape, your the one with the untrained ear... legato doesn't make you better. and variety=hammer ons and pull offs???? i'm sorry but that was pretty stupid

sounds like he says Mucho-breath around 2:25 and a few more times
In Latin, Mucho means Much or too much
but of course he means MOTORBREATH
it just sounds kinda funny
Anyways on topic I think this version is better it has much more energy and you gotta love that raw sound
