  • He is still to this day revered as one of the greatest Iranian Armenian singers of all time.

He is very loved by all Persians.

  • anavin dillagina basim senin bu ne mahnidi alaoxuyursuz ,..iteliyim sizin dilinize

  • can u give translation to the lyrics? thanks.

  • I love this song. No one sang it like Badalian. Let us also give credit to the poet Sarmen (1901 - 1984) who penned these lovely words in 1958.

Just curious... in which way is this song and this rendering of it classified as rabiz? LOL.

  • I love this song. No one sang it like Badalian. Let us also give credit to the poet Sarmen (1901 - 1984) who penned these lovely words in 1958.

  • hahah , mne fsioravno chto ti gavarish vazgen999 , ya uze znayu chto ti kak malinki ribionk .

  • keutahiatsi , she or he says that this is azerbaijan song.

BAYHAN , go and listen ur turk version .......

  • this s a real Azeri song! offf... stealing again! its original name s "Dilberim". there r real Azeri tunes! it s not like Armenian music! why do u steal Azeri folk songs? cant u write your own songs?

  • @quliyevresad How can there be "Azeri folk songs" if your culture is only a few decades old? You haven't been AROUND long enough to have folk songs. Just because some Turk ...oops....I mean "Azeri" took this song, translated it to the foul language called Turkish, and you guys sing it today doesn't mean it's yours. Every single aspect of your freshly invented "culture" was stolen from Bulgarians, Greeks, Armenians, Assyrians, etc. Go convince someone else that you're "Anatolian/Balkan".

  • @quliyevresad you must be kidding...

  • Now this brings back memories for me - a bit of nostalgia!

  • This brings back memories - a bit of nostalgia for me!

  • Long live the Armenians songs and those who sing it with Love and Passion! Thanks a million!

  • uhmmöchte ja nicht rum nervern aber bin total einsam wer hat lust zu schreibn

  • there was no such thing as 'azerbaijan' until the russians created you out of turkish villages. our culture goes back thousands of years, yours only decades thank to Russians...who stole what!

  • @theforgottenorg Correct: untill early 1900 azerbaijan refered only to the region south of the ARAS river, Russia gave the name Azerbaijan to the region north of ARAS river as well. Iran last this portion of its territory to the Russians under Tzar Catherine.

  • я извиняюсь что этих идиотов вмешиваю сюда но я видел комент поэтому и пишу азера сгиньте!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well said!!

    եղբայր

  • azeri come from Mongolian steppe, your music not like our Music!

  • @ArmandoArmeni azeri music 1:)

  • @BAYHAN200 you freak , azeri does not even exist how can that stupid race make music you don't even eat with silver, can't even read nd write let alone make music.

  • @MarineM1 azeri music 1.turkish music 1:)

  • @BAYHAN200 Wow. I feel sorry for Turks/Azeris. You see, it's rather ironic that you raped, mixed with & stole from Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks, Lebs etc for 100s of years, and have very little Asian "Turkic blood" left in you today, yet you STILL strive for the pan-Turkic dream, and hate all the people you forcefully mixed with, stole from & killed, all while trying to convince yourselves & others that you are your own unique culture. That's called an identity crisis. Good luck with that.

  • hahahahahaha

there is not such nation azer

    how could be azer music???

go and find out who are azers and find also what is their musik

    with all Armenian love

  • He's still alive?

  • sadly no

  • Armenians are always the nicest people in Iran... they are the most tolerant and kindly.

    Fuck the mulalhs

  • thank you very much or your intelligent words

  • @2BrokeNNoteS Thank you for forgiving my nasty comment about the mullahs who have pitted us against our brothers and sisters for their fake form of Islam.

I love Armenians! Good people everywhere, especially in Iran.

  • Varcg@t gadar

  • This is an excellent song......

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful song, dear keutahiatsi.

Just one think I would like to draw your attention to is that we Armenians should avoid using "eastern Anatolia" instead of Western Armenia, which is the only true and historical name of a region. Would appreciate very much your decision to correct text and to let other people know about this as well. Shorhakalutyun.

    Tatevik

  • it is such an interesting song. I enjoyed of it.

tanx a lot for uploading this video

  • Armenian, to me, sounds similar to Hebrew, with the notable difference that Armenian sounds beautiful and poetic, whereas Hebrew sounds rough and, well, not beautiful. I would like to hear some Armenian poetry, haven't been able to locate any on the web yet. :/

  • Armenian sound more like Farsi to me, without the Arab influence. Armenian is Indo-European like Greek whereas Hebrew, like Arabic is Semitic.

  • hazar dari ,

  • this is like a kurdish song..."rindamin"

  • Getse Adanatsi Badalian.

  • any body knows if the singer is still alive? It is amazing that only ten thousand people listened this great singer.

  • See that is writed (1924-2001)... The reason for your observation about the number of persons who have listened the video is, in my opinion, that the main part of the youtubemaniacs are young, or has not the musical or "ear, mind and soul opening" training for listening MUSIC. That´s a hard task. It takes years or decades. Or whole life. Are you agree with me?

  • Unfortunately, Hovhannes Badalyan died around 5 years ago. He was, he is and, I am sure, he will always be one of the greatest Armenian folk singers.

  • @louispigott4 Mr.Badalyan passed away about 8 or 9 years ago a sad news i am certain about his death very unfortunate...

  • very well performed. I heard this in turkish version but can not remember exactly what song was this. I feel that I am flying over moon when the singer performs this

    what more can be said

  • last time i saw him in person was 17 years ago in hotel shah abas in isfehan

  • You are a God-Allah blessed person. I must wait for my death for see and hear him...

  • Thank you Daniel...

  • It has been translated to Greek also.Look for "xenitia" by Arvanitaki.

  • im from iran

i have heared this tone in mazendaran .......north of iran the south coast of khazar sea

  • Iv heard this in Kurdish the same tone, and tempo, but I dont know who made it first?? Probably the Armenian man, because he made it along time ago. Someone know if was the founder of this song?

  • yes its interesting beytocan (a kurdish singer) recorded a song with the same melody. i dont understand armenian but i do kurdish. in kurdish its a love song. maybe beytocan has got armenian ancestry... who knows. by the way, it would be great if somebody translated some passages of that song

  • its obviously armenian, armenians are an ancient race kurds are not, and dont have thier own culture.

  • Im Armenian and thats incorrect, Kurds are ancient as well. Its one thing to be nationalistic and proud of your ancestry, but dont disrespect other cultures just because their not Armenian.

  • *there

  • Thanks for correcting that idiot. I am so ashamed that Armenians like him exist. My apologies and respect to the Kurds.

  • I heard this song in kurdish "Rindamin" and Turkish "Gönlüm....So beatiful.Music bring people together.
