  • She has been gone for hours now. Christmas Eve carried her soul away in a hazy dream. Her mother, gently holding her dead girls hand, weeping silently. She can hear the rain, the soldiers a marching away, church bells signaling her defeat. She could feel the fever wading in the room, but she didn`t care, she sit there, knelt by her baby girl. Singing, singing herself to sleep.

  • Listening to this while reading Aleister Crowley and drinking red wine. Definetly a good night.

  • @voltex12345 It's supposed to look like a medieval painting.

  • @julio13wrathchild i know and i love it ^^

  • Magical.

  • Dude.

I made an instrumental kind of like this, without the bells, and voices.

It was that tune to the Piano.

Scheisse; I was playing Nox Arcana before I even knew of them.

  • This song sounds like it came from the heavens. Such a magical tune that no other song has.

  • How can people create stuff like this?!? WHO IS THIS GUY??

  • This world is full of shit

  • This reminds me of the Enya song "Cursum Perficio", the piano undertone is pretty much the same as is the mood. Wow--love this!!

  • this is beautiful

  • songs *

  • Ghosts of Christmas Past reminds me of V For the Vendetta <3 omg i normaly dont like this kinda song but Nox arcana just blowes my mind away <3 it's flawless<3

  • I just now discovered this band. Oh my goddess, it is amazing. I am usually in to the temptations and groups like that, but lately I have been getting into Evansence and Linkin Park and this.

  • Best time to listen to Nox Arcana... Christmas Eve alone in a room and watch the lights and feel warm and safe this is what this makes me feel like

  • can i use the music from this band in an animation ?

    =x

  • So beautiful sounds. I like this so much.=)

  • My favourite tune from the whole album, next to Ebonshire Forest. Gorgeous, soul-touching work.

  • This is...magic.

  • Their music gives me a strange feeling, as if I have some great mysterious power from within and I could do anything, beat any fight, think clearly, I just can't explain it.

  • I love this music. so beautiful I could fall alsleap so peacefully. :)

  • i will remember this band forever

  • sooo beautiful...

  • "I am the Ghost of Christmas Past."

    "Long past?"

    "No. Your past."

  • @menslady125

    Two things.

    1. Where is that line from

    2. May I use them in a book of mine? I saw those lines and immediately thought of a storyline.

  • @kittymoonlove01:

Why, that's from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

  • My point exactly. Why miss out on the best Pagan holiday ever??? the yule season is one of my most favorite times of the year, aside from my all-time favorite holiday which is Samhain; also known as Halloween.

  • Oh? this was originally a horror story? thats amazing i wanna find out this horror story aside of the crappy version (kid friendly haha)

  • I hear this in every season. These sounds are just hammer.^^

  • i luv this fukin bells or cathedralZZZZ !!!!

  • I don't know why but some of Nox Arcana's song give me strong emotions!! Like crying, but always in thier music you can visualize something in your mind! I love this album!!

  • That's the beautiful thing about powerful music.

So sad that they're being overlooked by the throng of people throwing away their money on studio pop that means nothing...

  • Absolutly, i hate those people. Nox Arcana is art in it's finest!

  • Ah well, it's not our fault most folk like that are Histrionic in some fashion. :/

  • @19652703 trust me everytime i hear rose of winter i cry but i love it the only bad thing is it reminds me of my last breakup and we were so very much in love....good thing im withone an even better guy :)

  • This is my favorite song on the album. beautiful both for christmas and otherwise.

  • This music is beautiful in an rather eerie way for those who have seen many versions of A Christmas Carol. It almost makes think about repenting before it is too late. But the voices at the end of the soundtrack will likely scare the Dickens out of anyone, including me.

  • Pun included I'm guessing? XD

  • You know, with something like that, someone should do something like a retelling of A Christmas Carol, only with a horror feeling to it, similar to the song here.

  • the original Christmas Carol(not the childrens's version) was actually meant to be a horror story for that time but now its a friendly tale. sad how people manage to bastardize everything with beauty and twist it. Nox Arcana rox

  • I don't think it's bastardizing, it's probably something more vulgar in my opinion. I wish it was still considered a horror story.

  • Its still a horror story as it has always been intended to scare children not to waste thier lives by missing out on cultural celebrations. Especially ones as social as christmas.

  • I thought it taught how our actions would affect other people in a dark tone.

  • indeed

  • Comment removed

  • Well the main story doesnt change, but the old English dialog makes it much more suspenseful and horrifying. Great story, wish you luck in finding it!

  • @420FahQ2 No, the worst bastardization I've ever seen of a classic is "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". I facepalmed when I first saw that book.

  • @Sanguiluna Hey, I have that book, and the author really did a good job with making it all flow together. At least it didnt come across like the author thought, hey you know what would be funny, zombies, and then hit the "replace all" button and pasted "zombie" in where ever. All I am saying is that it isnt a horrible book, but i wouldnt look at it as anything more than a product of pop culture. When you see the Mona Lisa advertising toothpaste, do you drop to your knees and curse the heavens?

  • @420FahQ2 Hmm? Of what "original" are you revering to? A Christmas Carol by Dickens was nothing but a critical work of social backround at his time. No real horror-story after all.

  • @420FahQ2 you mean the story is somehow different or the whole vibe? cause i thought it was a tale of redemption (at least in every adaptation ive seen and ive seen many)

  • @420FahQ2 dude i swear, if i ever have that chance to remake Christmas Carol, Nox Arcana will be playing the music in this.... bc your right Christmas Carol is supposed to be a true horror story. The story is not meant for children or with people who scare easily.

  • @420FahQ2 Well, see, "beauty" is subjective... I see beauty where it seems few others do and I don't see beauty where anyone else I know does. It's when you take something (like the Christmas Carol) and twist it's beauty until it's unrecognizable that's horrible.

  • @420FahQ2 Where did you ever learn that? Dickens wrote it as a tale of redemption and the uplifting of the poor and miserable (class struggle and justice for the impoverished were two of his very favorite subjects).

  • Hail Nox Arcana ;/ Their Covers/other material are just amazing ;)

  • Brillant

  • The Victorian England's streets come to my mind and there is a heavy snowfall. And of course Dickens's Christmas Carol.

    So beautiful!

  • I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • i love this music

  • So beautiful!

  • I f***ing love their covers...and their music is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • it is cool but some times give me chills!!! honestly!!

  • This is SO awesome! I LOVE and ADORE this kind of music! It really warms my heart, and i feel safe when i listen to it!

  • OMG thank you sooo much for posting this, it's my favorite album!
