Yes i agree, with the comment below. The first 2 Matches Ken was being beat because of BombSoldiers techique. However, part of the whole reason why there is 5 Matches instead of 3. Is the "adaptation" part. in a fight you must be able to adapt. Real life, or in games. Ken only 2 took matches to adapt to BombSoldier, and beat him Straight up. Thus why he this this Tournement.

For one thing, most of the games were on FD where Falco can laser spam. Marth is already at a disadvantage from that with no projectiles. Second, Bombsoldier suddenly got 3 stocked(and lost 4 games in a row) just because Ken didn't hold out on the chain grabbing? Part of the game is adapting to the situation not playing the same strategy over and over again.

only way to rly get out of chaingrabs is to di almost right through the player at those % since the game will recognize your position as being behind, otherwise its usually an easy grab which it should be anyway in the marth vs fox/falco match up

He can't do an air jump because he gets grabbed again before the hit lag from the throw wears off. After each move, there is a certain amount of lag or stun before you can do anything except for DI.

I'm not quite sure how wobbling has anyhting to do with this. If they had the chance to air jump and get out of the chain grab I'm sure that they'd pick that over getting grabbed again. All anyone can do while getting chaingrabbed is attempt to DI out of it...I think.

OK I'm seriously fed up with all this Ken sucks business. If you look he L-cancels on every single jump attack and rakes up some nice combos. Bombsoldier also does the same. A lot of people go crazy thinking bombsoldier is much more talented than Ken when they both use the same advanced technique I.E. tech.,L-cancel, etc. So just open your eyes and grow up.

lol DI seeing/guessing is the hard part about the chaingrab, obviously ken doesn't have it perfect, so probably neither does tkdhero. I'm not saying SHL is cheaper than chaingrab, but both execute the moves well, so don't bullshit saying one is cheaper or this and that.live with it, a lot of characters have chain grabs against fox/falco but they're also top tier.. marth is not far behind them, but he is countered by them somewhat.

to TKDhero: SHL'ing CAN be cheap, and in falco's case agianst marth, it plays tremendously to his strenght, albeit, it is more difficult to execute and looks a lot coolier(since it's a combo) it's more respected. Getting out of chain-throws isn't as difficult ato get out of as you make it sound. Japan just bans it because nobody really uses it, and so BS had no experience against going against it. BS is just quite bad at DI'ing.

I always say this, but i'll say it again... Every character has his strength, and Marth has to use falco's weight to his advantage, falco has plent of other moves that marth is weak against... Falco has hard hits, powerful spike, and long rang laser attacks.. Marth has to attack with his sword, a lot less range in his attacks, and has harder spikes to get off.

I use both Marth and Falco. The chaingrab is cheap, not the SHL. SHLing characterizes Falco and it gives him his playing style. Marth's chaingrab on Fox and Falco is really too much and much too easy.
