I ride a 600 cbr and i only have a permit,i was riding to work at 3:45 am on highway , I25 to 470 in Colorado, no one on the road, so i was doing about 85 in a 65 mph zone, 3 cop cars had a speed trap 2 of em went after me I pulled over thinking im going to be fucked, sence im not supose to ride at night, on the highway, or without a licensed buddy next to me, i thought i was gona get arrested, cop was real nice tho, let me off with a warning and even wrote me a late note 4 work, thanks man

I have only seen one occasion where an innocent died and that is because the sport bike hit another sport bike... There are almost no occasions where bystanders or drivers get killed or even injured as a result of sport bikes. The real risk stops with the rider... I STOPPED for a cop once for going 10 over and got arrested and charged with a felony... never again...

Bike is/was an 06' GSX-R 750. The guy went out for a Gatorade, literally a few blocks down the street. He only had his temps (which exempts him from night riding priveleges in Ohio). The officer waited until he left the store and lit him up. He panicked and "ran". They turned the dog on him and pepper sprayed him. He was charged for assaulting an officer (the dog) as he blindly flailed on the ground while getting chewed to pieces. He paid.

Here in the "Stuntshine State" they passed a new "wheelie law" it will cost you $1,000 fine for popping a wheelie on any public roadway. This law is not a deterrent - it is an incentive to elude. IF they wanted to make the streets safer they would pass a law that required seniors over 70 to get a drivers test check 1X a year... just my line of thinking. FTP

@theanytimeshow What I think is totally ironic is that one has to go through an additional driving and agility test to obtain a motorcycle license, but you can be 75, half-blind with cataracts or glaucoma, get behind the wheel of a 30ft. Winnebago, and drive from your farm in Michigan doing 45 mph the entire way with your left blinker on, and if you're in the fast lane on the interstate, you can cut across 3 lanes of traffic to make your exit instead of simply going on to the next exit.

Want an idea to avoid having cops get your tag number? Wire up a switch that connects to an actuator and put the plate on a hinge. Wanna run from the cops? Flip a switch and the plate is unreadable. Then just drive away. Be sure to put it back down after you get away, though. Don't want to get caught for being stupid.

@theanytimeshow What I think is totally ironic is that one has to go through an additional driving and agility test to obtain a motorcycle license, but you can be 75, half-blind with cataracts or glaucoma, get behind the wheel of a 30ft. Winnebago, and drive from your farm in Michigan doing 45 mph the entire way with your left blinker on, and if you're in the fast lane on the interstate, you can cut across 3 lanes of traffic to make your exit instead of simply going on to the next exit.

@theanytimeshow - Incentive to elude? How about just not breaking the law in the first place? If you do...take your lumps and just stop. Running is just plain stupid and irresponsible. You risk your life, the Officers life and the lives of innocent civillians. (Not to mention now a felony.) As to older drivers, yes. There probably should be a system to test them more frequently, although Florida law does allow an Officer to order a test. Keep the stunts on the track or a parking lot.

@FireSarge30 here in Florida if ANY of your 2 tires lift off the ground at ALL for ANY reason it's $1,000 ticket. Break too hard, $1,000 ticket, Accelerate too hard, get a $1,000 ticket. Do any wheelie's or stoppies, $1,000 ticket. It wasn't breaking the law, before they made it a law.

@ernk72 Not what I was saying. Just saying how much it sucks that doing any kind of a wheelie accident or not will land you with a fat ticket. A police officer saw a friend of mine's front tire lift off the ground a few inches and he called it in. My friend was pulled over 6 minutes later by another officer. Long story short he took it to court, cops lied their asses off and he ended up paying $1200 fine.

Want an idea to avoid having cops get your tag number? Wire up a switch that connects to an actuator and put the plate on a hinge. Wanna run from the cops? Flip a switch and the plate is unreadable. Then just drive away. Be sure to put it back down after you get away, though. Don't want to get caught for being stupid.

yea no kidding its like he never once really got on it. maybe it was just a 250cc idk but any 600 even from the 90's can do at least 140. mine will do 160 and I don't think this guy ever broke 100.
