Let's face it, both the WWE and TNA suck now. This is why for the past 5-6 years I've mainly watched Puroresu and Lucha Libre. What was great about WCW and WWF going head to head was, WCW brought all styles of wrestling in one show, Hardcore, Puroresu, Lucha Libre, Technical, etc. While the WWF created amazing characters with new and fresh things to the mainstream audience. Now today's USA product, is just bland, corny, overdone, and horrible.

But today there is a huge number of WWE fans who assume the WWE is the only thing worth watching, and then they admit they don't actually watch TNA and ROH. For instance, to me, a mark is one who thinks they have a firm "grasp" on what's really going on, but have little to no actual knowledge beyond what they see on TV and whatever their reading on the net. Their opinions are often very shortsighted and laughably pretentious.
Personally, I think we're all guilty of throwing the "M" word around a little too frivolously. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that everyone has their own interpretation of the word.
I define a "mark" as one who obsesses over the product and wont look at other promotions. That or the real meaning of "mark" which is someone who believes its "real" or basically a little kid.
To say ratings don't matter is to show a lack of understanding business in order for TNA to grow they must grow their ratings, if no one is watching your free show then what the heck makes you think they're goinmg to buy your ppv, if no one know one watches your show why would the randomly come to your live event. Your best advertisment for ppv, house shows, and merchandise is not commercials but your 2 hour show. Your commercials should draw people to your 2 hour show and ppvs.
I understand that and I'm not trying to argue that TNA should get higher ratings because WWE has higher ratings just over all they need to get their ratings up so their ppv and attendance numbers will go up from the fans point of view ratings are our only indicater of growth now i there is no war because they're not head to head but that's also why the fans expect higher ratings is because in our view they have no competition. Dameon, how many times was the same questions you asked Meathead been asked to you? I've seen it asked quite a few, hell... I even asked those questions myself. I like how you avoid the topic at hand but want people to take you guys serious when it comes to your "wrestling knowledge". You further prove my point when I stated that you guys are no more than hypocrites who make light of topics you were concerned with a week ago. But I guess you really can't say much seeing as how you claim to dislike marks but either are one yourself or have some on your shows (Bill & Doug). If you can't respond to the feedback in a mature manner, don't bring up the topic.

For instance, to me, a mark is one who thinks they have a firm "grasp" on what's really going on, but have little to no actual knowledge beyond what they see on TV and whatever their reading on the net. Their opinions are often very shortsighted and laughably pretentious.

I define a "mark" as one who obsesses over the product and wont look at other promotions. That or the real meaning of "mark" which is someone who believes its "real" or basically a little kid.

To say ratings don't matter is to show a lack of understanding business in order for TNA to grow they must grow their ratings, if no one is watching your free show then what the heck makes you think they're goinmg to buy your ppv, if no one know one watches your show why would the randomly come to your live event. Your best advertisment for ppv, house shows, and merchandise is not commercials but your 2 hour show. Your commercials should draw people to your 2 hour show and ppvs.

WWE is Number 1 on USA and TNA is Number 1 on Spike. Nearly 2 Million Viewers a week for Impact, which is year over year growth.

I understand that and I'm not trying to argue that TNA should get higher ratings because WWE has higher ratings just over all they need to get their ratings up so their ppv and attendance numbers will go up from the fans point of view ratings are our only indicater of growth now i there is no war because they're not head to head but that's also why the fans expect higher ratings is because in our view they have no competition. I still enjoy and look forward to your shows.

Thank You,I watch both WWE and TNA but WWE never even mention TNA but TNA makes it a point to go out their way to take a shot at the WWE and when WWE fans respond then their just hating and from what I 've seen TNA fans are the first to say WWE sux in wrestling and ROH sux because they're small. Ever sense the PWR started interviewing TNA wrestlers they took a turn away from their unbias entertaining shows.

that's not entirely truth sure there are a lot of wwe fans that talk trash about tna roh and other wrestling companies but not all of them. I've been a wwe fan for years since I was 3 years old and I still like it yeah it used to be beter but what the heck at least is something but the thing is that I love tna aswell and I like roh but not that much and my friends they love both wwe and tna. It's just little kids that hate everything that is intended for real wrestling fans.

I agree with you guys that wrestling fans shouldn`t be divided into TNA or WWE marks,but i personally can`t stand to watch the WWE.They have a good roster,but the company makes all the workers wrestle the exact same way and what we get as a result are boring, slow paced matches.Moreover i am not a fan of this whole PG rating thing.Thats why i consider myself a TNA mark,however, we all live in free countries and people have the right to watch whatever they enjoy the most.

Great vid guys. People always compare TNA ratings to past WCW Nitro ratings but they also fail to mention WCW had a built in audience from Saturday Night being on for 15 years. I watch WWE, TNA and others. If it's good I enjoy it, if it's bad I simply change the channel.
