@ReviewNintendo Since you're just starting I suggest you go with the neutral palette until you can "master it". Wearing bright make up when you don't apply it nicely looks a bit goofy. Plus when you're just starting, a natural look goes with more things. I see too many young girls putting on the bright eyeshadow and it's a bit out there and doesn't look good. I think you should get the color later on, but it's up to you. Be sure you buy the 88 on ebay (same thing) it's much cheaper there. :)

To test for lead you use gold (something like a golden ring), rub it with the shadow. If it turns black, then it contains lead. This is what I was told with lipsticks since there were some issues with some brands of lipsticks containing a lot of lead. So try that.. I just ordered these palettes too, so I'll let you know when I find out.

Look it up online. The two metals bind and make some type of gold alloy that's black in color. The blacker the color turns the more lead. Every day we are in contact with lots of chemicals, ie, cleaning products, preservatives in food, etc, so we really should be going to the middle of nowhere to avoid these, and that´s not a choice.......

i also agree that it is complete nonsense accusing this Chinese company adding lead to eye shadow. lead has a white-ish color when cut. and it is typically used in paint to speed drying and slow down corrosion. eye shadow = pigment plus binder so that it will adhere to the skin. there is absolutely no sensible use for lead in eye make up. Paints yes; make up, no.
yh, get it off ebay. and if you can, make sure you buy form a seller who is in the same country as you. don't buy from china or anything. they always arrive shattered and it gets so complicated if you ask for a replacement or refund. There will always be a seller in the same country as you selling the pro palette. but sometimes it's just more slightly more expensive. it's worth paying that bit extra though.
Silly people. I'm guessing they don't read tags or the bottom of things much because most things in the US are made in China, India, Korea or Indonesia or some other Asian country. But mostly China. i was watching an episode of Tyra or Oprah or one of those shows and they were featuring make-up and the question was how do you know if your lipstick has lead, a little trick is swatch some on your hand then take piece of gold jewelery, not gold plated, Gold and rub it on the swatch, if it turns black there is lead in it, if not then there is no lead. I have used this eversince when buying lipstick and it works..so have a go. thanks for review

Jajajajajja, I totally agree, I have a bunch of palettes from China and they are fantastic, and still no one has proven to me that they contain led.
Every day we are in contact with lots of chemicals, ie, cleaning products, preservatives in food, etc, so we really should be going to the middle of nowhere to avoid these, and that´s not a choice.......

hello just letting you know! the coastal scents palletes and every other stuff are from china factory, so caostal scents just print their name on it, and sell for higher prices! so buy from ebay, more cheaper and same stuff!

I ordered one on the 11th and can't wait to get mine. I orderd from hong kong so i have my fingers crossed that none are shattered if so oh well there are plenty of other colors. I was wondering though what are the eyeshadows that are two different colors ? like there is a green/yellow blue/white i dont have any eyeshadows like that. Thanks for posting

i also agree that it is complete nonsense accusing this Chinese company adding lead to eye shadow. lead has a white-ish color when cut. and it is typically used in paint to speed drying and slow down corrosion. eye shadow = pigment plus binder so that it will adhere to the skin. there is absolutely no sensible use for lead in eye make up. Paints yes; make up, no.

yh, get it off ebay. and if you can, make sure you buy form a seller who is in the same country as you. don't buy from china or anything. they always arrive shattered and it gets so complicated if you ask for a replacement or refund. There will always be a seller in the same country as you selling the pro palette. but sometimes it's just more slightly more expensive. it's worth paying that bit extra though.

Silly people. I'm guessing they don't read tags or the bottom of things much because most things in the US are made in China, India, Korea or Indonesia or some other Asian country. But mostly China. Protesting China made stuff is ridiculous because it's often American companies that are having their stuff made over seas for cheaper. If they lose profit, guess where the cut backs starts? In the US.
