Obviously this video is live but there was a live album that Etta paid for herself but which took her 10 years to get a release and the version of 'Take it to the limits' is better than the video version, I have searched for it on You Tube nut have not found it, the album is called 'Etta James Live from San Francisco' and the band she has with her is superb. I f you can track it down the sleeve notes give the whole background to the album, it is a SUPERB album

Etta James took the song "At Last" and made it her own...Beyonce, who is a good singer, copied every lick, note for note, along with the same arrangement..next you know she is singing it at the inauguration and on tv commercials and the woman who made it an R&B standard gets overlooked..Etta paid her dues for 50 years and one note from her could make the hair stand up on your arms and fill your soul, something Beyonce could never do.. Etta James is one of the greatest singers that ever lived..LB

I don't think a vid is needed, all you need to do is listen ... I'll have to research the audio version because it has WAY MORE SOUL than original Eagles version. Don Henley in my opinion is the better of all the singers and has great soul BUT it's the MUSIC that changes my mind.... The whole gospel vibe that Etta's version kicks out wins me over!!
