So the enviromentalists (treehuggers) dont want a third runway cos of the Carbon Emmisions given out? So how did these treehuggers get there to demonstrate in the first place? I dont reckon they walked or rode on fuckin horseback!
@phucoff1 I walked from Golders Green via Wembley, Chiswick and Brentford, out to Hounslow. i walked back too. In fact I don't use passport or driving licence at all - it makes it practically impossible to get work in UK! (by the way, i do work). Sorry i called you a tosser. No need to be rude just 'cos I disagree with you. These sites preselect angry people. There are people like me. those activists are only trying their best.
Granted mate, i'm sure did, but did everyone? I think alot of these protesters haven't got a clue and did drive, or more than likely, hitch hiked as they dont work, and were just protesting for the sake of it,.......more than likely sponging students.
Most flights from Heathrow are actually business flights. I know this because I take business flights from Heathrow.
I was at Heathrow the other day. I counted 36 flights on the board that were not leaving the British mainland, just going to Edinburgh, etc. These flights would be better served by a high-speed rail network we could all use.
Britain doesn't need another polluting noisy runway, it needs a properly thought-out and integrated transport policy, starting with some decent trains.
Actually I have lived near Heathrow, there was aircraft noise, this happens near airports, you lose moron. Roll on runways 3,4, and 5 if only to upset half-wits like you
The obvious answer to Airport congestion is to build bigger and better airports, a third and then a fourth runway at Heathrow would be a good start.
Nobody should listen to the hypocritical idiots of Greenpeace and Plane Stupid, what they are against is cheap air travel, not air travel per se. These middle class tarquins hate the fact that ordinary joes can drive cars and fly places. Its nothing to do with environmentalism, its all to do with snobbery and keeping plebs in their proper place
