  • great song and great man! what a beautiful voice even at his age. i sang this song to my sweetheart when she was 16 and now we're married for 30 yrs and i still sing it to her. the lyrics, the vocals the back vocals, and the music...it's just one of the greatest love songs ever. thank God for Johnny Maestro, i know he's with the Lord right now but his songs will be blessing sweethearts until until. it's great to have videos to see these great singers and groups, thanks for this post.

  • Hi Doo Wop was not Big here in the UK u had The Platters and Frankis Lymon but twhen the film American Graffiti cam to UK in 1973 the sound track with all the top USA hit was Fab and i became big Dop Wop fan I do have the Uk org 45 on the London American lablehe BBC did not play USA doo wop in the 50's or 60's I 1st heard Sixteen Candles

  • My favorite birthday song! "16 Candles" was released in Nov. 1958, just as I turned sixteen. It's been one of my favorite songs since then.  Of course, with such a magnificent voice singing the song, it just had to be wonderful.
