@jfaiq11 shisha pipes dont really need to be cleaned dat often, just make sure you can get it wet first, then if u can just basically run water thru it and blow hard into it on either end. u should notice black little pieces of coal or dry shisha come out, u know ur doing it right if dat happenes.

@Danny1013 you have to set it up right make sure of proper ventilation through the bowl, also make sure the "screw" is on tight and lastly make sure the coal is placed properly

I think coal placement is my issue. It always seems to get really harsh, really fast lately.

I use a phunnel bowl, maybe there's an issue with the way I'm packing it too?

@Danny1013 go back to a normal bowl and make sure your sheesha isn't packed to tight then make sure the foil has holes on the edges as well as tiny holes in the middle. then place coaal in the middle and ice your water at the bottom. be generous with the ice just make sure you don't crack any thing. then take some time in between puffs so the smoke has time to cool down. if you have any more questions just ask..:D

@TheKasimIshaq @Danny1013 Exactly! Give that a try. Sprinkle the shisha in the bowl. I don't put my coal in the middle of the bowl, but if that works for you then give it a shot! Develop a set up that works best for you

@Kontehlion99 The only thing ice will do is make it more of a smooth smoke. It does take away from the flavor a little bit i've noticed. But in terms of thicker smoke, I have no noticed a difference between ice water and just regular tap water.

are there hookah tobaccos that are not flavoured. I smoke a regular briar pipe but avoid aromatics in favour of natural tobacco flavour. The only hookah tobacco I've seen locally reads like a desert menu. I've yet to see anything that is just tobacco without a top flavour.

I ask because I am curious about the hookah but the tobacco flavourings put me off. The only stuff I've seen was powdered so I think my own moist flakes would not work very well.

@MacNutz2 I haven't tried many of the darker, natural flavor tobaccos. But one that i've heard good things about is Nakhla Zaghloul. It's a black tobacco. It doesn't give off smoke clouds like more modern flavors, but it's mostly smoked for it's natural flavor. A flavor that I really liked which isn't overpowering is Nakhla Earl Grey. Smells and tastes like Early Grey tea!

What is the best way to pack the bowl so that it doesnt get harsh too fast? I been smokin and lately it has been getting harsh really fast, i use Fantasia Sheeha, and Holland quick light coals. (two on top) I poke approx 25 holes in the foil with a thumb tack.

@MrTaslll3 dry ur flavor a little bit when ur packing it, put it in a napkin and squeeze it but not much and lightly sprinkle it on the bowl dont force it in the bowl just lightly let it pile on top of each other, u might also wannna add two layers of foil and than poke it. when you put the coal on start it off on the sides and slowly rotate it around .
