this version of little red monkey is from Joy Nichols, Dick Bentley and Jimmy Edwards... WACK-O!! it was released in the UK on Parlophone shortly after the Frank Chacksfield version was released. If indeed an early synthesizer was used on this recording it likely will be a Maestrovox/Clavioline-type instrument. According to Wikipedia a Clavioline was used for the original version of this song.

(The 1953 tune "Little Red Monkey" by Frank Chacksfield's Tunesmiths, featuring Jack Jordan on clavioline. This was the first record featuring an electronic instrument to feature on the UK pop chart (April 1953). )
