Don't think it mattered who else auditioned. It is obvious why Damien was chosen from 450 actors who did audition. This guy is so natural in the role. Each time I see Damien in films his portrayal is so authentic and believable. Check out his imdb page. The new, younger Di Niro has arrived! Plus, he is gorgeous. Keep going forward Damien.
