Dude, first off, the English romanization for the name is Aeris - actually, it's sounded out more like "Air-ess-oo" but for translation's sake, I think the 'u' sound was taken out as it usually is.

The Japanese name as it's usually romanized in text is Aerith.

By the way, the greek god of war is ARES. You should really get your information right before you worsen things.
