Not saying I heard anything. I know for a fact what my friend's setup is, as I watched it take shape from when he first bought the car to what it is now. As far as the car on the video,I'm just going by what the video clearly says.
Video said Supra was running a GT47-80. it's a large 80mm single turbo. I have a video of a good friend of mine's Supra on the dyno (I'm one of the 3 in the back of the car in that vid). He pegged a 1200hp chasis dyno on that same setup as the supra in this video, with a 100 shot. On 34psi, no bottle he made 1150whp. Just to give an idea of how powerful these cars are.
check out the jan import tuner the new supra is crazy it has put down multiple 7.81 1/4 mile runs at 187.4, and he still drives it on the street some times, not often though as its 1600hp and has drag racing suspension, he is supposed to be racing this same amc at maryland international raceway during an imports vs domestics race. its all in the magazine so check it out for yourself.

I heard the Hornet had never been beat on the street in 15 years....and he still remains undefeated. That being said, he shut it down at around 135 when I was pulling him pretty hard, so who knows what would have happened if we would have stayed in it to 150....actually I think I know ....but I guess he said he was on his rev limiter since he was spinning. Oh well, I'm building another Supra for a rematch next summe

@HarrisPerformance Definitely a good race. I don't know if the hornet was already slowing down, but it seemed like the Supra was in front around 1:20-1:21 before he started to brake. Both cars are badass haha

Completely untrue. If it would have raced the hornet off the line, it would have lost. That hornet is geared extremely low, it's going to be horrible in a roll..
At 1:30 did the supra use spray to take off or was that straight turbo motor?

@HarrisPerformance Yea the turbo on the Supra boosts its volumetric efficiency to that of a V12 so yes the spray was the equalizer.
