KFACTA Exhaust, Twin 2.5 on 5L V8

its a VT 5 litre with VY front i have VT SS 5 litre with good old 308 donk in it wich VY never had & 1st VT's made where 5 litre,after that they were all gen 3's.no offence Kane but my old girls louder than that,she's got pacemaker extractors,hi-flow cats,6 inch dogs & resignator on all thru 2.5 inch twin pipes.but if u wanna hear sumthin really loud check my 5 vids from ystdy,we just ran it straight out extractors!! @nickiboydy606 No offense taken mate. I have a vid with the rear resonator removed. I wasnt going for the loudest..just wanted to have some video of the exhaust. The VT has pacies, twin 2.5 inch exhaust along with straight through centre mufflers and high flowed LS1 cats. :) The old girl has been sold and its off to a new home next week.

@ployeeeee LMFAO!!!!! it has had a VY SS front fitted to the car mate.. check 1:11... has monaro tail lights fitted to the rear. Oh BTW... VY never had a 5L. I am pretty sure I know my commodores mate, you may want to have a better lookover the video and the other videos I have put up. Its a September 1996 VT Executive Series 1 5L V8, ex NSW 9C1 police car. Just because I have had the VY SS front fitted doesnt make it a VY. It was originally white, and has been resprayed in Cosmos mica.

they made the vy/vz 's with 5.7L V8s. pretty sure the VE is a 6.0L.

@pureaussieutes Yeah teh VY came out with the Chev 5.7 and some of the VZ's too, as well as the 6L in the later VZ S2's. The LS1 first saw light in the VT series 2. Before that they had the holden 5L which is what I have and the Holden 5.7L stroker.

It is a VY SS front, the guards and the front bumper and bonnet plus a few other things.. street commodore did a review on this.. its a $4k job a few years back. I purchased the car with all this done already, although looking at it, its done very very well!! I can take specific photos on request and email them to you if you want.

Mate, love the car and yes, i agree, the Aussie five ltr is the way to go. Id rather the roller vt v8 than any piston slapping ls motor any day!!!! So glad to see a Holden with a Holden badge and not a Chev badge....

Thanks for the comment mate.. I love the holden 5L too, although I wouldnt mind an LSx for the extra grunt. It makes a nice cruiser and turns heads, not the fastest car out there, but its reliable.

Hi, nice car mate, jus wonderin with your exhaust 2.5'' supercat all the way throuh as you say but does the exhaust have two centre mufflers then one tailpipe muffler that both pipes go through? Jus want to find out cos theres an exhaust on ebay that looks like it may be the same as yours but i want to know what it sounds like, and if it's the same as yours i'll get it cos she sounds sweet man, keep it up!!

Hey man, the ones on ebay look the same as mine. The are twin pipes all the way with straight through mufflers. The exhaust has a cross section and then go to 2 centre mufflers, independant of each other. They then continue to a rear muffler that both pipes merge into then twin out. The exhaust sounds really nice, and takes a few weeks to get the note like mine. I have had mine for over 2 years now. It doesnt drone at all and is VERY quiet at 100km, at 60 you get a nice note.

Also check my other videos of car on dyno, has the same exhaust on that. I have also fitted twin LS1 cats as my originals were shot, also got the cats flanged to 2.5 inch openingings to improve flow. That really made the exhaust sound nice. I havnt dynoed it since that change though.

Hi craig, its a twin 2.5inch, all straight through supercat mufflers. cost was about $700 2 years ago.

looks good with the vy front but not a fan of the monaro lights vt s2 look heaps better. you should throw a 355 in it!

The monaro tail lights look the part when you see it in person, the video doesnt do justice. The look of the car is how I purchased it, minus the change in colour of the wheels and the new exhaust. Wont be sepending any more money on the car as I am lookig at upgrading next year to a VY Senator. Thanks for your comments :)

Yeah makes it very individual. When its at car shows people get very confused when they see the VY front and the 5L under the front!! They then cant work out the car so they go have a look at the rego sticker!
