how many of these type of performaers were there in this city? Was this troupe by themselves or were there many others?

Do they peform there everyday or you just happened to be there for this perfromance?

@Ralvarez1999 To be honest, I can't remember. I don't recall seeing loads of them so I would guess it was just them. I'm not sure how often they performed either - I wasn't there every day at the same time in the same place.

Some of them don't have much choice, so kids do this for a living. It's more important to them than school since they can't afford it.

This makes me think about life in VN. Children like these have to work very very hard to be able to perform what you see here.They probably never eat enough every day. They rarely sleep at home. They are like wanderers. They are abused whenever their masters feel bad about their performance or practice. Their future is...nothing!

I don't think they are homeless? I suspect they make a lot more money than many of the other people in that town. They were in a very remote part of the country where the average wage is extremely low, however the cost of living is also extremely low.

they aren't homeless but they are pretty destitute. food is not expensive in rural china though. they just don't have luxuries. (i'm from there)
