The intro strings (which repeat throughout the whole song) are, of course, ripped straight from the original song. The spiccato strings in the intro ( 0:23 ) are a Sytrus-preset. The sliced strings ( 2:47 ) are the same as the intro strings, sliced in a Fruity slicer channel (look it up if your lost). Simple as that :)

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you, for example, mean how I did when I got the strings into the song, I opened up the audio editor (the symbol is a pair of scissors), imported the song from there, and simply deleted everything but the strings. Then I saved what was left to my samples-map!

Yeah, I cut it using a program called Audio Morpher Gold (I think). Was a real pain in the ass, I would not recommend remixing a song if you can't find an acapella version of it :p

If you want to, I could send you a few mixer presets I have created for piano, like the one I used in Donkey Kong country. There I used FL Keys, and made heavy use of effects. Another great VST with piano is Edirol. Check out my song The Bear and The Bird, I made it using a single Edirol!
