Insane man, but could you please explain me more or less how does it work exactly? Since I play on a private server and we're not sure about it?

I mean, you say you have 5.000 SBV with block value but the cap should be 2760 for shield slam damage calculation, right?

Do trinket push SBV over the cap? what else? Does shield block do it?

Shield block value, basically its not your % chance to block, its how much damage you absorb from each block, and its SBV(among other stats) which scales your shield slam damage.

@kindleinc its shield block vaule and it took a few secs for me to figure it out lol but i know thats what it is becuase those crit he does come from shield slam after using all the things that buff it up

With everything popped you said you have around 5k BV, but it shouldn't matter since Shield Slam can only make use of 2760. Or am I wrong? I saw one of your posts saying the cap is for the BV you can obtain from gear alone, but with Shield Block/trinkets, could I increase Shield Slam damage past the block value cap?

So are you sure Shield Slam is benefiting from 5k block value, even though Blizz says "the maximum damage benefit from shield block value at 34.5 times the player's level", which is 2760 at level 80.

You probably think it's odd I'm asking, but I just need some prot warrior's opinions since I play on a private server where the players and devs aren't sure about this and there really isn't any documentation online about it.

Its kinda obvious that trinkets + Shield block massivly contribute to your shield slam, since when capped shield slam will probably crit for say 9k, push your cooldowns and your over 15k depending on resilience/armor ect.

the cap is set for the amount of SBV you can have from your gear alone, when busting cooldowns/use on: trinkets, they push you past the cap, Thanks for watching :)

Just what i was looking for, ive felt the power of prot warrs in game before, nice to see it on video. I'm pvping as arms atm pondering giving prot a shout, i only have pvp gear on him really and i notice most pvp prot warrs use their pve gear. so i dunno for now :)
