I read somewhere once that the reason entities like minecarts and mobs phase through terrain sometimes is because they are loaded before the terrain itself is loaded. This is true for both SSP and SMP. I want to know exactly why Notch thought that was a good idea. This is the reason why some of your sheep escape from the pen at the ark.

Glitch protection on carts - 1 thick floor under the stations, then a sloped powered rail hidden underneath that puts them back. They only glitch out when something pushes them into a wall, or the chunk loads. Ive seen them glitch through five or six blocks if they get ignored long enough though, so eventually they would put themselves back :)

I think it'd be cool if you made part of your nether "real world" area look stormy. Grey/dark grey/black clouds, darker sky, maybe even a lightning bolt? (out of glowstone?) And if they ever 'fixed' silk touch to let you get water in the nether, you could put water above the "clouds" to make it "rain". This idea started as a suggestion just to spice up the room a little, but now I think it's the perfect idea.

Dunno if this has been posted or not, but I have found that it helps if you grow tall grass around the sheep. They'll eat that before the short grass. There will be less patches of dirt and since the sheep crowded on to brown patches don't have any grass to eat under them, it makes the wool regrowth slower. With all the tall grass, it'll make the brown spots a lot more minimal and the chances of wool rewgrowth a little better/faster. Hope this helps in the future!
