For those who are confused, as I've seen numerous thumbs downs to people who said this is a TP2, this phone IS a European/Unlocked HTC Touch Pro2, HardSPLd in order to run a beta ROM of the HTC Leo/HD2 Manila(TouchFlo3D) 2.5 on it instead of the Manila 3D 2.0 on the stock phone. However, I think the beta ROM of the Sense UI (for Windows Mobile) for the HD2 is already out in XDA-Developers.

Capacitive screens are generally finger-only screens because it needs the electrical current of the human body in order to activate. However, HTC patented a stylus that can work on a capacitive screen.

its on the LEO witch is at lowest 300% faster than HD so it will be extremly smooth on that phone ... phones that run it anyway cant be excpected to run smoothly

Windows Mobile is not slower than any other smartphone OS. They're all pretty much the same, in fact, Windows Mobile may even be the fastest.

It's HTC's software that's slow here and this is because it has been designed for the HTC Leo, a phone with about three to four times the processing power of the phone used in the video (1Ghz ARM Cortex vs. 528MHz ARM11 processor).

If you had ever tried a WM phone next to an iPhone/Android phone, like me, you'd know that no OS is noticeably faster.

Excellent response. Did not realize that was the case for this. But I cant agree with the fact that WM is the fastest smartphone OS.

Android and the iPhone OS runs circles around WM. Given both are designed to be speedy beautiful and reliable, M$ take on a flexibility and power is just not enough. It's HTCs touch flow that makes WM bearable to use. When you strip it of that, just how stable and fast is it? I'm sorry but taking almost 3 seconds to rotate a device screen(not smoothly)is not fast.

Believe me or not, I have. And the WM on the Touch HD was clearly a bit faster than iPhone OS and Android.

I'm talking about measurable time differences in stuff like loading programs etc., not about transitions and animations. WM doesn't feature any, and this is the only reason why the other OSs seem to be faster.

Concerning TF3D, it is clearly a resource hog and slowing down Windows Mobile.

Again, I'm only talking about speed, not about usability or smoothness.

With TF3D, WM (especcially 6.1) is easier to use and may even seem faster, because TF3D is smoother (like on Android and iPhone OS, there's transitions instead of waiting signs and ugly screen redrawing, which, as I said before, is the real reason why those OSs seem faster - though they are not).

The HTC Leo is a 1ghz Snapdragon processor. The Touch Diamond/Pro is a 528 Qualcom Processor. Both very very different architectures. Snap dragon blows Qualcom away.

I thought the same but if you look at the dimensions the Leo is not as big as the Toshiba. Im still not convinced I can handle a device larger than the massive HD but it is only a little bit bigger and not the massive size of the TG01
