If the weird noise you asked about is the clicking sound, it's apparently supposed to be your teeth chattering. Also, you can refill your lantern by double-clicking on the pots of oil in your inventory - I saw you had a few unused ones.

And on a final note, trying to block a door with rocks will not stop the monster. :P

@Tekrae yeah i record these episodes in advance, i think ive recorded up to episode 11 or 10, i figured it out later. :P

And blocking atleast makes me feel better, and any comfort in this game is good.
