  • superbe groupe qui retrace le malheur des tribus indiennes parquées dans les réserves.De meme our Redbone.

  • Now I wanna tell you that all that grit that you see

in them John Wayne movies is painted Hollywood white

and it's not right, it's not right,

It's a reservation of education! (bis)

  • I’m sure when you were young

    you played a game called cowboys and Indians;

but we're all growed up now

    but some people are still playing a game;

but only now it's got a new name, and it's called : Washington and Indian, Bureaucrats and Indian,

B.I.A. and Indian, Indian, Indian, Indian, Indian!

  • soooo much memories, alot of message in the songs, still the same messages.... how much have we progress in education???

  • the camel--precious

  • I recall being told at the time this was a hit, that XIT stood for "Crossing of the Indian Tribes"

  • i remember the band rehearsing in my aunts hogan. i was too young to understand what was up. lol

  • This song made it, BIG, in the Horizon Ice Rink, in Roodepoort, South Africa (just west of Johannesburg) in the late 70's; for "speed skating sessions"

  • @wolfmk9 This brings back memories. I used to hang out there every weekend in the mid- to late 70's. Met my present-day wife there too.

  • @wolfmk9 It was a huuge hit in Johannesburg, so I would imagine the rest of South Africa - ironic considering it was the heyday of apartheid. Anyway, it was fab to be reminded of speed skating - I loved that ice rink!

  • Menominee Nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this band and have most, if not all of their CD's.

  • My mother loved this group and she had their album and I believe that I have them somewhere in this house, along with the remastered CDs that I bought her some years ago.She really liked this song and would sing it quite a bit along with their other songs. The one song I wish someone would have put on here is "The Coming of the Whiteman" from their Plight of the Redman LP that's a great song too.Thank you for putting these songs on here,it makes me feel close to my mom since she died.

  • "DO-YA-SHO-DA BILAGAANA!!" Good song to blast while driving lol

  • dit you know??? the wolf is coming back to gernany!!!!!

  • the first nation live !!!!!!!!!

  • More than 12,000 views for this song. Not bad for a band who never made it big.

    Where were these guys from?

  • How do you pronounce this band's name (Is it just like X-I-T)? Where did it come from? Excellent music. This is real good Native American rock n roll.

  • x-it is way better then xit watch?v=1Ibekme0MJI

  • Indian Education!

  • I mean no disrespect I truly enjoyed the music.

  • NAVAJO NATION!!

  • history shows the story from the winners perspective. The indian culture is bigger and better than the current winners running america . Keep true to your culture and birthright

  • I resided in Phx Az and would like to comment on the beautiful art cover of the plight of the redman; the warrior on his horse with war paint on his face. Ready of war. That's why the "billie gonna"s" asked for our assistance in WWII to use our native language which is now known as Code Talkers. We had to finish the "billie gonna"s war for them. Good song and true that they still play the race game!!

  • phuck that idk who that guy is but obama said I qoute THE LINES OF TRIBE SHALL SOON DISSOLVE

I personally think he has a the wrong agenda

right there atleast for me and my people cause last time i heard we are very tribal as a matter of fact our whole society is tribal based.

family is something I'm not surprised he doesn't understand

  • Fabulous song from this group ! Excellent !

  • played every night in the discotheque in Salou,Spain in 1974. Went crazy each night!

  • Wow, this stuff is amazing. I remember listening to this on tape as a young kid in the 70s halfway around the world from where this all played out. Listening again in the 80s and 90s during university and my formative career years, and now again on YouTube. This stuff has lost none of its power and becomes more meaningful the more you age! Awesome.

  • I have the album!!!!

  • i love indian people and music

  • sorry for the rant, but I still think yobama is piece of ....

  • President Barack Obama is a mulatto, the first non-white US President according to the same U.S racial/ethnic classifications.

However he is cool and smart, and he is also a Democrat.

You must show more respect to the U.S President!

  • Obama's parents, Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr., met and married in Honolulu — a white woman from the mainland and a black man from Kenya. Im sorry he is half white and only half american. I only respect those who serve democracy and he doesnt.

  • Produced and composed by Tome Bee and Mike Valvano, with additional writing by Jomac Suazo. This was released on, of all places, Motown...for their rare earth label.

The sophomore LP was "Silent Warrior"(1973) and "Reservation" was also released as a single. A small bit of airplay on late night FM in Chicago.

By the way, XIT leader Tom Bee also wrote for Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, & The Jackson Five while XIT was with Motown.

    Thanx, m8..

  • you must show respect to the American Indian!!!

  • I'm not the only one who remembers these guys!..good stuff!

  • hell yeah reservation of education thank you!!!!!

  • After all these years this song is still right up there!!!!! Thank you!!!!

  • I have not heard this for 30 years, still fantastic

  • We need more Native American songs posted for all to hear!! Love the song!!

  • ♫ Reservation of Education ♫
