@mahlstadt I think he's merely mispronouncing the word "Mods". It would make the Brighton reference make sense.

Brilliant ! This really summed up the UK polis of the time, about 1981. Also, check out the "Constable Savage" sketch...

yea the social commentary that 'not 9' put out is pretty crazy to see, i was still a nip when it came out but one of my first TV memories is rowan doing his conservative speech ..
"We like curry.. but now that we've GOT the recipe .."
