I have 3 excalibur kits and they are great. Best consumer grade shells I have ever seen/had. One thing throws me for a loop. The maximum allowed composition weight is 60 grams, correct? How can these shells weigh well over double that? Some weighing over 150 grams! Does the paper canister really add that much weight?

@noodlecake71240 some shells are packed with clay to make them feel heavier. I've opened a Excalibur shell and I gotta say there was more clay then the powder/composition. Thats disappointing,

I think 10,000 Degree artillery is still the best. Excals may have a louder thump out of the tube, but 10k degree has a bigger break. It's made by Pyro Predator

Great shells Dave. We've got a brand of shells that are King Arther and they're 3 inch. and have almost the same break as these but go higher. I've seen shells like these but they were smaller. Do you know if these have whistling tails?

These megabangers are extremely nice but i personally believe that Excaliburs by World Class are slightly better especially for their price. The main difference tht i c is in the launch. Excals launch is much louder it seems. So i was wonder if you could possibly make a video comparing the two shells. thank you

Hey what are the dimensions of the launch tube? Because i was thinking i could purchase plugged mortars online (like 24) and make my own rack and then get the Exterminator shells and load them up. Once i do that, i would fuse them all together with some cannon fuse.

I am also wondering if it is possible to purchase the canister shells by themselves. That would be great. Thanks you so much :)

I have been weighing some mortar shells I have and the weights have been surprising. Copperheads, and New York Harbor Show shells weigh-in in the 1.3-~2 oz range. The Silver Salute shells weigh-in in the 3ounce range. Now, the new Grucci Cannister Shells from Phantom weigh-in at an awesome 5.4 ounces! The cardboard tubes used in their construction are VERY stiff. I can't wait to see how loud the breaks in these things are. It's a well known fact that stiffer cardboard = louder boom!!

I bought some Mambas last year. They have good effects(somewhat unique for shell kits), something a lot of the shells that have slightly bigger breaks don't have. Nice thump and break loud just like any other cannister shell.

Does anyone know why in some states you can buy single shot tubes or cakes, yet you can't buy re loadable shells? Take for instance NH, you can walk into any firework shop and buy cakes, #500 tubes, but nope, no shell kits. I hate that!! Shells are so fun. Love your videos displayfireworks!

i disagree with you vh718 hdpe is not better then fiberglass for the simple reason of fiberglass doesnt heat up as far as the shells go ive shot them all pro shells excals exterminators and they have no real difference trust me i could shoot them in a random order and no one could say which is which

According to the information I have, the megabanger exterminator shells and World Class Excals are made at the same factory. Not quite "rewraps" but very similar. Also, Big fireworks has "Pro" shells that are very very similar. I agree, 10,000 degree are slightly better IMO, but exterminators still are quite nice.

these shells look nice, but i think excals are better for a few reasons. first excals weigh more (i weighed one of mine and it weighed 154 grams). also excals come with 2 HDPE mortar tubes, which are much better than fiberglass. and last, excals have a bigger break than these shells. but the big difference between these two shells are price. i think excals cost a lot more :(
