  • LCD Panels are actually pretty neat. I watched your video because I wanted to see what I've been studying looks like. Basically the screen is a semi-crystalline layer with about 1.7 million transistors that send a current through the front panel. The current causes the crystalline layer to re-shape itself to form the pictures you see on the screen. The white layer that you pulled apart near the end is the back lighting. The "motherboard-y" looking bit is a circuit board that controls it all.

  • I got a tiny annoying black dot in the middle of my 32" LCD screen but I can't smear it off. It look like it's stuck from the inside. Should I take it apart and clean from inside?

  • @salamander337 if im not wrong those are dead pixels.. I doubt u can fix it.

  • @salamander337 sir that would be a dead pixel and you can not fix it

  • those "bars" are mini flouresent tubes that light the screen, now most tv's use LED edge lit screens so they are super thin, i have a 32 inch sony bravia LED tv in my room, and its much brighter then the LCD tv's that use flouresent tubes to light them :)

  • Did your brother get in trouble for breaking the TV?

  • Thanks for taking time to show us the inside of your tv

  • Good job - nice disassembly.

  • those "bars" are actually neon tubes and those plastic panels you removed are only to filter, smooth and even out the light nice video!

  • @tulsaok82 they're mini flouresent tubes not neon

  • yuppp not very fun ether

  • I think you can make a Projector with some of those pieces.

  • the bit at the back is the back light that uses LED's if u could get that to work u could use it for something
