@applesweeter Flying has always been a dream for people, cultures from all over the world have written about flying thousands of years ago. RC planes are just a way to control an flying object without the trouble and risk of a real plane. The larger planes will provide a more realistic physics, longer runway for take off, and more challenging landing. Building a plane to me is kinda like creating flying things out of raw materials. Like making life, programing a robot.. I don't know, but I try.

@applesweeter yes, in fact the flying robot project will start in about 5 months using a 3D helicopter. The motivation comes from what sorts of applications it can perform after it's perfection. Fire fighting, scouting in narrow and dangerous area rapidly. I am sure there are more applications. And, to make a regular RC helicopter in to a robot that reacts to it's environment is just fun.

@applesweeter well, robots are machines that runs independently with it's pre-programmed electronics. If you are talking about the flying Humanoids, then I don't know. Otherwise, there are a lot of UAVs from various universities.
