  • Welcome brother ! May God bless you ! You´ve made a good choice !

  • Happy Catholism to you all!

  • Congratulations for becoming a part of Christ's Orthodox church.

  • @CareingKaren May be New Testament church does not need them, but Orthodox Church needs priests and you should understand why.

  • @Corvusdortensis Baptize first the children, and if they can speak for themselves let them do so. Otherwise, let their parents or other relatives speak for them (The Apostolic Tradition 21:16 [A.D.215]). Saint Hippolytus

  • Praises to this man! He did right! I believe in Orthodoxy and I'm going ot be baptized as an adult too, I think that it should be like that. If the baptism is supposed to be done to make us ressurrect in Christ and erase our sins, then why baptize sinless children? I've seen several Protestants point out that. I'm not Protestant nor believe in Protestantism, but I believe that they are right at this point.

  • This is so beautiful. How large is the inside of this church my brother.Did you feel the spirit of God here. And lastly, where can i find that beautiful music.

  • Ancient ORthodox did often have larger baptism font - in the entryway- this symbolized entering the kingdom when you then entered the church!

Christ is risen! Congratulations! See my baptism and there were about 15 Chrismations here in Mesa Arizona, USA!

    Seeitin my video list

  • @TheSpyridon1 Thank you, Indeed risen! :)

  • Ermm... you were baptised in a paddling pool? ooer.

  • @coldlittle Is it important? Please, note too, there were a lot of GOLD around.

  • @Taguiltsev No, of course it doesn't matter. It's just a little weird. :')

  • @coldlittle ho I didn't notice it.

  • @coldlittle the Lord Jesus, have mercy on you my brother.

  • I am Ukrainian Catholic. Do not the Orthodox also baptize and chrismate infants?

  • @mindspring57 They do. But I was not baptized when a boy. It was communist time. I passed catechumen for a year and a half and then was baptized on the Easter eve at the age of 44.

  • @Taguiltsev

Excuse me, but Yuri Gagarin was born in socialist times, he himself was a communist, but he was baptized.

  • @mindspring57 If you noticed, in the beginning three persons were baptized including me and then already four persons passed chrismation in the middle of the reel.

  • This video is awesome, pray for my conversion, I will start catechumenat soon

    From Brazil!

    Christ is Risen!

  • @Loiginer Indeed risen! Thank you. Glad for you, I passed through catechumen too. :)

  • congradulation, Taguiltsev , Doxa tou Theou! Welcome to the holy orthodox church. Yes you are very correct about being baptized with triple immersion and with the right faith. This perscribed in the canons and commanded by our Lord Jesuit Christ do be baptized correctly, i.e. with triple immersion and correct faith. Glory to God.

  • I have a problem with Russian Orthodoxy, you are so abusive towards the Ukrainians and their Orthodoxy that I do not think it is right you call yourselves Christian! Shame on you!

  • @MenechemShaul It is You who has a problem!

  • @MenechemShaul How is it that I have a problem?! I am a born again Christian who happens to express my faith in its Jewish context (I was born a Jew and I will die a Jew washed in the blood of Christ), I hold firmly to the verse in Sacred Scripture that says 11 For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers, by members of Chloe's household, that there are quarrels among you." (1 Corinthians 1 11 [HCSB] you need to read 11-13). How can you claim belief in Christ and yet hate your Brother?!

  • @MenechemShaul While always critics are wellcome, I think you need to read history of Slavic orthodoxy to know why things are as they are..The roots of the Russian church are based in Kiev when these two peoples were one... After the church center is transfered in Moskow...Ukraina was always natural part of the Russian Imperial state and the church was always one. These are modern thoughts about separation between thw two of them.Ukrainians have canonical right on church, but there is order how.

  • That was beautiful.

Like you, I was an adult convert (I was born Roman Catholic). I was Chrismated into the Antiochian Orthodox Church on November 8, 2009, on the feast day of my Patron St. Raphael the Archangel. I'm slowly trying to bring my wife to Orthodoxy too, so please remember her in your prayers.

  • @bakagaijin30

Sure, brother, if it is the God's will, she will. :)

  • Thanks be to God for Holy Baptism!! Not to be disrespectful, but why is there not a built in baptismal font or "pool"? Is it common in Orthodox churches to have smaller blow up pool like this one?

  • @onegodwitness It is a good question. They built such baptisteries in I-II Anno Domini when there were many adults to be baptised. But now we baptise babies in small bowl and that for adults is a rear phenomena. Besides adults are baptised in natural common recreational water-reservoirs in summer time, like in Gulf of Finland in Saint-Petersburg. That is why they used pool like this one for me, I guess.

  • @onegodwitness Sorry, in IV-V A.D.

They victimized christians in I-II A.D.

  • @onegodwitness Most Orthodox Christians are baptized as infants. You really only need a big pool if you have an adult convert baptism, and sadly, those don't happen often enough to warrant the building of a baptismal big enough for adults.

  • @onegodwitness Interesting question. I don't really know, but I can tell you that the Russian Orthodox Cathedral here in town does in deed have an alcove with a small tiled pool used for adult baptism. Children are baptized in the typical orthodox font, which looks something like a huge ornately decorated pot, deep enough for immersion. Unlike Baptists for example, Orthodox Christians are usually baptized as infants, and adult baptisms are not as common. Not all churches have adult fonts.

  • @MattDiClemente P.S. - Check out "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" for a depiction of an adult full immersion baptims in an Orthodox Church. The pool set up may not be such an uncommon solution.

  • @Taguiltsev Thank you for your kind words! My life confession was both painful and full of joy. It will be my life-long task to reduce the burden of my sins in my life. Glory to God!

  • My baptism is on Lazarus Saturday in two days, after Divine Liturgy. It will be in the Annunciation to the Theotokos Cathedral in Ottawa, Ontario. All are invited to share my joy in the Lord!

  • @aduramater It is great! It is easy to be baptized but difficult to retain the grace later on. Congratulations! It is remarkable moment of your life. :)

  • @aduramater

    Christ Is Risen;

    God Grant Thee Many Years!

As Many As have Been Baptised into Christ, have PUT ON CHRIST, Alleuia!

As you continue to divest your self of the old man and those patterns, may Christ Himself help you seek the ways of The kingdom to use for your new life in Him.

Love and blessings from your Orthodox Sister Katerina, Yorkshire, England.

  • Congratulations from Greece!

  • Congratulations especially from Greece are very valuable for me :)

  • How nice to hear that :) Why really Greece though? :)

  • Greece is a cradle of Orthodox.

  • Hmmm...I'd say Konstantinoupolis for that :)

  • Sure, Konstantinoupolis too, but our Bible was translated from Greek, some of archpriests were from Greece, Konstantinoupolis was a Greek city. And now Greece is a real and an only country that is left after Byzantium. Greece was always, before and after Byzantium! :)

  • Yea that's so true...But konstantinoupolis is relly important for Greeks as well, it's our hometown basicly :)

  • Of course, Konstantinoupolis influenced greatly upon Russia's culture, policy, church and language (Both Kiev and Moscow later)...

  • wow absolutely touching!! so holy and beautiful! Congratulations on embarking to the road of salvation in Christ's true Church! Mnogaya Leta!!!
