people just buy apple products because its a brand everyone knows. its like people know what a playstation is but not a dreamcast. there products are not neccesarily a good quality product but it looks flashy and cool, but that does not make it a good computer, why dont you buy 2 computers, a pc to actually use, and a mac for when somone has friends over and you want to look good.
I don't know why people keep on going with the mac vs. pc first of all pc stands for Personal Computer so both Mac and Windows are a pc and it is not worth fighting for which one is better they are both computers and as long as they do what you want it to do then you should just be happy that you even have one. some people have to buy some old computers that barely work so all of you with the Mac vs. Windows..........grow up everyone likes different things!

i used both a mac ocmputer and windows based computer. you can crash both (i've done it time and time again) the biggest problem i have is that i'm fed up with the mac vs pc commericals, it's like a poilitcal campaign. and believe it or not the new macs are now getting attacked.

I attend school for a film program, and yes we use Macs. They are better for editing and design work. But for anyone to say they are flat out better is stupid. We just had an all nighter at school before finals to finish our work and I can't tell you how many Macs froze, crashed, lost files, and lost connections to servers. Neither are perfect all the time, but both rule in certain areas. All this guy said is Mac does nothing but sling mud in their commercials.
Im sure that if any of you spent an afternoon with a 17" MacBook Pro, or a MacPro tower with quad xeon processers, you could pull your indignant heads out of your asses and realize that both PCs and Macs have there respective strengths and weaknesses.

Macs are comparable. OS-X is stable, but so is a properly configured Windows or Linux system. No, if you get Parallels you can run Windows software provided Windows is installed, but the performance will not be anywhere near an equivalent Windows native box (no Direct3D or OpenGL support through a virtual machine). And as for the "Macs can't get viruses" point... They're not prevalent enough for it to be worth anyone's while.
My laptop bought in October 2004 the battery lasted three months and warranty did not cover batteries. I bought another pc laptop in March 2006 and the whole computer crashed and became un-bootable within 5 months but even with reinstalling windows the screen wont display anything. I bought a Mac laptop in October 2005 and is perfect it runs so smoothly and I have not once had to reinstall osx
Before you ask why I bought a mac laptop and pc laptop so close together its because I had to the US for three months and did not want to take my mac becuase its to precious to me to take uninsured. And insuring any laptop costs an arm and a leg
both macs and windows suck, but since theres only those two to choose from id have to choose windows for compatability issues. but for media id go for macs.
its true macs and pcs have there place.. macs are better at downloading music and files plus the y run better on adobe and photo shop...but the the pc has its place also it used for gaming so i find the mac more realible and efficient and doing certain task but i choose pc because im a hard core gamer..
Who cares what OS is being used for stuff? They both have their place. It doesn't matter if Advertising Agency's use a mac or pc, because in the end they are using probably using photoshop or some adobe product. Now if they are using an Adobe product, it would make sence to pick the platform that it runs the fastest on. In all the benchmarks I've seen, pc's with the same specs do it faster.
All Mac users are sent home when they try to bring their Macs into work. Thank god they can use Windows. But once yous start to use all the apps available in XP why bother with a MAC?
The only thing bad with XP is that there is SO much out there, you tend to install everything at impulse.

and i havent seen a windows pc made by microsoft. and some are made by the consumer, the pc im using now, is pretty much a built at home pc, my dad bought the case, i picked out an nVidia graphics card (not only for gaming the card is very effective for video editing) my dad bought a duo core procceser, and two copies of windows x64 and pro x32 and two hard drives

I attend school for a film program, and yes we use Macs. They are better for editing and design work. But for anyone to say they are flat out better is stupid. We just had an all nighter at school before finals to finish our work and I can't tell you how many Macs froze, crashed, lost files, and lost connections to servers. Neither are perfect all the time, but both rule in certain areas. All this guy said is Mac does nothing but sling mud in their commercials.

Mac users true colors sure do come out when you question their bible. To set the record straight I work for a creative agency that has many macs. They crash, burn, and die just as much as the Windows machines children -- if not more! The problem lies with most mac users level of intelligence with hardware and software - LOL! im sorry. macs are better than pcs. yes, ppl say they are for fun and stuff. like making music or movies or podcasts or websites. but u can get microsoft office on a mac. and if u get parallels, u can run ANY windows program. just when u use parallels u should get on the internet or download anything or open ayfiles cuz then u can get viruses. macs cant.

Macs are comparable. OS-X is stable, but so is a properly configured Windows or Linux system. No, if you get Parallels you can run Windows software provided Windows is installed, but the performance will not be anywhere near an equivalent Windows native box (no Direct3D or OpenGL support through a virtual machine). And as for the "Macs can't get viruses" point... They're not prevalent enough for it to be worth anyone's while.

My laptop bought in October 2004 the battery lasted three months and warranty did not cover batteries. I bought another pc laptop in March 2006 and the whole computer crashed and became un-bootable within 5 months but even with reinstalling windows the screen wont display anything. I bought a Mac laptop in October 2005 and is perfect it runs so smoothly and I have not once had to reinstall osx

Who cares what OS is being used for stuff? They both have their place. It doesn't matter if Advertising Agency's use a mac or pc, because in the end they are using probably using photoshop or some adobe product. Now if they are using an Adobe product, it would make sence to pick the platform that it runs the fastest on. In all the benchmarks I've seen, pc's with the same specs do it faster.
