Nice video. Please consider donating to the Folkston Railcam as there will be a new place for camera installation with 1080p , LIVE AUDIO AND NIGHT VISIONS streaming for 24/7.
If you can not possibly make a donation, please consider taking time to click on ads as this will help the process too.
There is video editing available on You Tube, where you can stabilize this video after the fact. I suggest that you see it stabilized and save the result. You'd have to wait until the video effect is processed. The stabilize function works quite well. Otherwise, this video is nicely filmed, and entertaining as well. Keep up the good work!
same kind of locos (these days anyway) but freight service is limited to 65MPH on main line while passenger service can go somewhere between 90-95MPH, the locos and the engines themselves are capable of much higher speeds, in emergency situations, passenger locos have actually connected to and pulled freight trains
@northlanderdude only because of the speed restrictions placed on freight service, a train that heavy has to move slower, a light train such as the ones used in passenger service can handle faster speeds without derailing
on december 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of scott jackson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death.his mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happend. Turns out he was still signed into myspace. she found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter. if you don't repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. sorry i don't want to die
@records26 - Thanks! Yes, I have a good quality tripod. I had it since last year. Don't you hate it when you catch something good when you don't have your tripod on you? This is what happened.
Great stuff! I caught a westbound CN with a mid located DPU a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was so cool! But now I see them often! First they get rid of the caboose, now they jumble up the train..lol!
@Railrodder interestingly enough it was CP that first had DPU's, CN tried them and failed miserably for years, CP's secret was they used DPU's for heavy trains, not long trains, CN tried running DPU's for long trains through the mountains, never gonna work, can't run a train that long in the mountains, the laws of physics won't allow it
@Graham987654 Thanks for the info. Since my comment submission, I learned more about this set up. I have a friend who works in administration at MacMillan Yard in Vaughan. I get a lot of inside info from her. Once again, thank-you for your response.
@EasternOntarioTracks - Ya! I was just about to pass that road until I herd my scanner go off and that was the VIA train. I didn't know there was a CN there! What I did was when I got out of the car and looked down the tracks and saw a light!
I hope there is enough double track for Via to win
