  • myth: confirmed

  • SEATTLE REPRESENT!!!!!!

  • So if you swallow 2 at the same time, which means they are already stuck together, are the still harmful?

  • glad I watched this directly after lunch

  • perhaps the reason they dont want 13 year olds with them isnt because they themselves will swallow it... but because they are stupid enough to give it to a 10 yr old.. or a 6 year old... That being said... In my younger days i knew PLENTY of 18 year olds that were idiots and would swallow 10 of these on a simple dare.

  • Seattle?! I thought Woot! was in Dallas, Tx?

  • @Dcgo409 Hey it is kind of confusing but I believe this article kind of clears things up. Here is a quote, "Woot's 14-person St. Louis team, which is responsible for operating the website, has been moved to Seattle, while the Woot employees in Texas are staying put." I can't link the article I don't believe but you can google it to find more answers.

  • I was going to feed these to my cat so she would get stuck to the refrigerator but now I'm having second guesses :/

  • Why would a 13 year old swallow these things? I swear, the world is goin CRAZY!

  • @PieInc2010 The question is why under the same premise wouldn't the Safety Commission think a 14 year old wont :S

  • @PieInc2010 all I can think is "America"

  • Buckyballs are trash compared to Zen Magnets

  • poor man's mythbusters

  • This is why I only eat one a week.

  • @blendingbone

I eat a whole cube at each sitting.

The key is to make sure they are all connected before they go down.

  • @blendingbone I laughed way harder than I had any right to, you've done a man's job, sir!

  • I'm pretty well convinced the recycling folks up here in Seattle don't care that much about specific sorting, as long as you're not putting ham in your recycling or anything. There's apparently some neighborhoods where they get super-bitchy and slam you with fines, but usually, it's difficult to prove.

  • How about a field test of Buckyballs vs Zen Magnets? They've got some ongoing beef and it would be fun to see which came out on top. The only real difference I've seen is that the Zen magnets are smoother and better coated.

  • Christ that's terrifying. I'm not sure they should be legal at all. You guys should really just send me some to make sure at least a couple of sets of them are maintained in a safe location. but seriously, be careful with them.

  • I simultaneously have the urge to go buy buckyballs and eat two of them and to stay as far away from this product as humanly possible.

  • HILARIOUS!!!!

  • buckyballs are the shit.

  • The real question is... how old was the pig? I mean, were the intestines from a pig that was 13 pig-years or under? Without this, your test proves nothing! Shananigans!

  • Regarding disposal of the...uh biowaste...I think the way out is to perform this test in Carrollton and not Seattle. Poor planning.
