@ArcanineKing WRONG!!! It was designed by Jason Castriota, not Pininfarina, and has ALWAYS been advertised as such. Also, Castriota designed the Bertone Mantide; the only car in Bertone's "line-up" that looks anything like the Tuatara.
Jason Castriota was working in the Pininfarina group for the Ferrari P4/5 and then went to work on the Bertone Mantide before the Tuatara. So technically, they mentioned someone from Pininfarina long before the Mantide came out, since it was the ONLY source they had at the time.

In all honesty... I want to like this car. I just don't? The design is... ugly to be blunt. It looks just like the endless amount of other ridiculous prototype cars that never made it to production. Same problem with the last SSC, it looks like a kit car. Doesn't mean it's a bad car, doesn't mean it isn't cool. It's just not inspiring. It wouldn't make my day if I saw one in traffic. If it does end up being faster than the Veyron SS then good for them. Given the option I'd still take a Veyron.

Jason Castriota was working in the Pininfarina group for the Ferrari P4/5 and then went to work on the Bertone Mantide before the Tuatara. So technically, they mentioned someone from Pininfarina long before the Mantide came out, since it was the ONLY source they had at the time.

@thomol7860 the reason why i wouldnt drive is because it dosent have an engine baically its still a model car it has working headlights brakes suspension and that sort of thing but there is no engine or tranny in it yet

Have they got tires that can go as fast as they want to?Just a while ago i heard that Bugatti had to limit the SS because the tires cannot be trusted at speeds higher than 268 mph. How are they going to sort it out?

I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. The car is just a showcar, not the real car. By the time they produce 100 cars, it'll be the year 2015, where cars will be a shit-ton faster than the SSC Tuatara. Also, what the fuck is it with the name? :|

Show cars are not production cars, and I don't care what Shelby says, he might as well be lying, since he said he was also working on an electric car that goes past 200mph, which I haven't seen or read of yet.

In all honesty... I want to like this car. I just don't? The design is... ugly to be blunt. It looks just like the endless amount of other ridiculous prototype cars that never made it to production. Same problem with the last SSC, it looks like a kit car. Doesn't mean it's a bad car, doesn't mean it isn't cool. It's just not inspiring. It wouldn't make my day if I saw one in traffic. If it does end up being faster than the Veyron SS then good for them. Given the option I'd still take a Veyron.
