I have a homosexual FRIEND who used to only play games like Barbie , ms mac man, and various fighting games (he'd only play as female characters though).
I forced him to play this game with me until we could get through it over.
My sister sold this game behind my back 5 years ago, I can't find it anywhere and I've had an urge to play this game for so long! Just completed FF7 but it can't even compare to this entertainment I get from this game!!!
Final Fantasy x had a pretty good story line next to Final Fantasy 7's. The characters were very compelling and the graphics were great! It's a classic!
Lost Odyssey is this gen's TRUE Final Fantasy given that Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu didn't work on FF since X...and you can tell. Nomura's great and all, and Toriyama's a step below him but still fine, but they ARE NOT Sakaguchi. With that being said, FFXIII Versus should be better than XIII because of Nomura, but don't get your hopes up thinking it's going to be another FFVII or X because it won't and neither will any other Final Fantasy. Sakaguchi's gone and he took Uematsu with him.

wttf are people so excited about a ffx remake, the game already had good graphics and voices, i mean mayb if they did one of the older ones with crap graphics like 6-9 (and got rid of the junction system in 8 cas that was garbage)
@Potatoslice I think the reason is because, though the game did have good graphics for it's day it still looks very dated. Try playing this game on your PS2 on a 55" screen and you will see how bad the game really looks. I can play NES games on my big screen with out any problems but the mid range systems like PS1 and PS2 look horrid on big screens.
They don't remake FFVII and VIII because they're not build in 3D. It's just 3D characters who move on a simple pic, not in a 3D environment. To do a new FFX, it takes just a few month. But if they want to remake PS1 FF's, it will take years.
So, yes, remake FFX is fan-service, but not remake PS1 FF's is a good choice, because they'll lost lot of money and time to do it (and they have other games more important actualy).
It's not a remake, it's a remaster. FFX is only going to be upscaled into HD resolution with some minor touches and improvements and is not being remade from the ground up.

A lot of the employers of great games from Square and Enix have left to join other companies and are still making great games. Like Tetsuya Takahashi with Xenogears, Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles. Maybe you should take a little more time and actually learn about the masters behind the company and not just it's name.

@0902studios I also totally agree. I think the series Peaked at around 7 and 8, many people love the 8th game but I'm not a huge fan but it was somewhat enjoyable. FF9 I hated and they redeemed themselves with 10, but once they decided that X2 would be a good idea it's all been downhill. I used to be a die-hard FF fan and would have defended the game to the teeth. Those days are long gone until they get their act together. Though I will buy the remake of FFX I still want to see FFVII remade.
@V3NOMXIII I don't see how them remaking this game is an issue... Like honestly. If you are looking at this video today? 10 years after it's release? It is pretty damn obvious it was a good and a game worth being remembered.
Asthetically this was the most pleasing Final Fantasy for me. I'd love to see the entire game with the visual level of and above Final Fantasy 13. That will simply be incredible.

@BleednDreamz I say let legends be legends and move on...just because people keep supporting these kind of practice from Square that we are getting less quality titles nowadays. SE's problem is they don't try to innovate anymore, they are playing it safe with whatever ace IPs they have and that's about it. I mean I don't have to tell you how many times they have released FFI-FFVI...it wouldn't hurt to try new things or make new sequels instead of remastering games.
@BleednDreamz not to say that they aren't making new titles or trying to innovate as I'm looking forward to the next Kingdom Hearts games and FFVersusXIII but they should do it more often...stop remastering games and focus on bringing innovations to protect the brand.

@V3NOMXIII Remake or remastered? To many people confuse the two. Remastered can mean that the game will only have HD and Remake means the whole game will be remapped to look better and maybe have longer gameplay do to extras. FF10 was a pretty sick story.

50 years from now, when ps5000 and xbox 958857 are out, ff10 will still be one of the best rpgs ever. This game got so much emotion, even a tough guy like me aint scared to admit it brought a few tears to my eyes. Love this game.

You will also be able to enable speedhacks, it's working good with Final Fantasy X.
@MisterYoann718 Not sure how I made it work but I opened the program, i kept hitting the PS button. Then I closed it out, when I opened the game controllers, then properties, It wasn't working, so I unpluged and plugged it back in then, viola.
Also, thanks for the tip and thanks for telling me about the emulators. I had totally forgot about those. If the PCSX2 works well, then ill connect my laptop to my tv via HDMI.

There are numerous examples of discs having errors on them caused during coding or manufacturing; even ones that work right the 1st playthrough & not subsequent ones. Sometimes there is a workaround, like avoiding the bug in Legend of Dragoon when fighting the water dragon in Dragoon form by not changing form
My personal experience is of playing through a game to the end, & not being able to get past the battle with Sinspawn Gui subsequently

@V3NOMXIII What the hell? Final Fantasy X doesn't need a remake, the graphics and battle system are already good enough as it is. Why not remake FFVII (bad sprites) or FFVIII (bad battles system) - the ones that actually NEED to be remade!!

Cause then fans of the old game would all get the remake, and the plethora of people who have heard so many great reviews of it but can't bring themselves to play such an old/outdated game would also majorly benefit. In other words they could *potentially* make more money than the original.

@0902studios They are not as good but the same directors are the ones making the new games. It isn't the fault of the merger. A lot of the employers of great games from Square and Enix have left to join other companies and are still making great games. Like Tetsuya Takahashi with Xenogears, Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles. Maybe you should take a little more time and actually learn about the masters behind the company and not just it's name.

@0902studios I also totally agree. I think the series Peaked at around 7 and 8, many people love the 8th game but I'm not a huge fan but it was somewhat enjoyable. FF9 I hated and they redeemed themselves with 10, but once they decided that X2 would be a good idea it's all been downhill. I used to be a die-hard FF fan and would have defended the game to the teeth. Those days are long gone until they get their act together. Though I will buy the remake of FFX I still want to see FFVII remade.

@V3NOMXIII I don't see how them remaking this game is an issue... Like honestly. If you are looking at this video today? 10 years after it's release? It is pretty damn obvious it was a good and a game worth being remembered.
Asthetically this was the most pleasing Final Fantasy for me. I'd love to see the entire game with the visual level of and above Final Fantasy 13. That will simply be incredible.
The game that redefined good graphics will redefine it again 10 years later? I can't wait.

@BleednDreamz I say let legends be legends and move on...just because people keep supporting these kind of practice from Square that we are getting less quality titles nowadays. SE's problem is they don't try to innovate anymore, they are playing it safe with whatever ace IPs they have and that's about it. I mean I don't have to tell you how many times they have released FFI-FFVI...it wouldn't hurt to try new things or make new sequels instead of remastering games.

@V3NOMXIII Remake or remastered? To many people confuse the two. Remastered can mean that the game will only have HD and Remake means the whole game will be remapped to look better and maybe have longer gameplay do to extras. FF10 was a pretty sick story.

50 years from now, when ps5000 and xbox 958857 are out, ff10 will still be one of the best rpgs ever. This game got so much emotion, even a tough guy like me aint scared to admit it brought a few tears to my eyes. Love this game.

I just wanna cry my little heart out. I have a ps3 but not a ps2. Im glad many ps2 classics are getting released like Metal Gear Solid HD remake...but I want this....after I beat FFXIII, I saw this video like I hate13! @earlmccormick88 This program is not working on my computer ^_^ Be sure to configure your DS3 with LilyPad plugin :) It's the best plugin for game controller with PCSX2 :)
You will also be able to enable speedhacks, it's working good with Final Fantasy X.

@MisterYoann718 Not sure how I made it work but I opened the program, i kept hitting the PS button. Then I closed it out, when I opened the game controllers, then properties, It wasn't working, so I unpluged and plugged it back in then, viola.
Also, thanks for the tip and thanks for telling me about the emulators. I had totally forgot about those. If the PCSX2 works well, then ill connect my laptop to my tv via HDMI.
